We stayed for five nights in March 24. During our stay we found all the staff to be friendly and always willing to help. Nothing was too much trouble. The Sherlock Holmes theme is subtle but quirky, with lots of interesting details. Our deluxe twin room was spotlessly clean but next to the lift and the cleaner's cupboard on the landing, so we got a bit of disruptive noise from these. Housekeeping only visit the room every 3 days, but you can have them daily on request. The beds were comfortable and the walk-in rain shower was perfect for us. You'll find Molton Brown toiletries and lovely soft white towels in the bathroom. There was a good sized TV and a small sitting area two tub chairs and a table.
Our stay included breakfast, which was always delicious and freshly prepared to order. Once again the service was excellent. We didn't try the bar or eat in the hotel restaurant at night.
Our main gripe was that the room was too warm to be comfortable, especially at night. This is why I've given a 4 rating rather than five. The whole building is heated in winter and cooled in summer. In March is was on the heating setting and this coincided with a warm spell so we found our room very warm: it averaged 24C despite keeping the window open all day and having the room thermostat set to 10C. The staff and management were apologetic about the situation and did everything to help. Maintenance came twice to see if they could help but it made no difference. We were given a portable fan to try to help cool the room.
However, this wouldn't stop us returning to Holmes Hotel if we were to visit the city again. The location is excellent for exploring as Baker St tube station is only a 3-minute walk away. Locally, Marylebone is a lovely area with excellent local independent shops, restaurants and pubs. I'd recommend giving Holmes Hotel a try; you won't regret it!

Great great location. Really easy place to stay with a young family. The hotel is a nod to Sherlock Holmes but not overdone or schmaltzy. They got it just right. It is quirky and interesting and just luxurious enough. Good value for money. The best gift for our kids that we have ever gotten... Sherlock Holmes books on their bed with a teddy. My 8 year old walked around London with his nose in a book thanks to them. Really lovely touch. They just get it. The restaurant menu is really child friendly too with proper healthy meals that my kids loved. And it never hurts to have a bar in your hotel! The best part about the hotel was the staff. Even when they get stuff wrong they are quick to help remedy it and they go out of their way to make life easy. Will be back for sure. (I mean where else does a hotel give your kids books to read before bed instead of chocolates?!)

We are very pleased to remember our stay at this hotel. We had a deluxe room and found it very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the water kindly offered every evening, the coffee and tea kit, the independently adjustable temperature and the very comfortable bed. The courtesy kit in the bathroom is essential (soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body cream) but still replenished daily.
We had asked for a quiet room on a high floor and we were satisfied by staying on the third floor with internal views and double window that insulated well from external noise. Soundproofing between the rooms and the corridor could be improved.
The breakfast, included in our booking, was good and varied enough (in the kitchen so much Italian staff) but what made it really special was the presence of Lorenzo who, with the help of Brescia Solomon, spoiled us with much attention and his warm professionalism.
We did not try the restaurant but for three nights we stayed in the fireplace area of the bar. Warm and relaxing atmosphere and good cocktails, although we would suggest a more frequent passage of staff to man the room.
Baker street metro station is a stone's throw away and around the corner there are supermarkets, chain restaurants and several pubs.
Without a doubt, a hotel to return to.
Thank you all!
Claudia and Antonio

First stay in London, looking for a smaller, more intimate hotel in a quiet, yet easy to get anywhere location. Holmes delivered with a front door tucked in to a quiet residential street, and a back door entrance through its restaurant to the busier Baker St. Our heritage deluxe king rm on the top 4th floor overlooked Baker, and was quiet, with fun, understated decor, and a large bath with tub/shower. The location is super convenient to Baker tube if you want to get to the super bustling Piccadilly, SoHo, Westminster areas, (or anywhere else), but there’s plenty of high quality shopping and dining within a few blocks walk, not to mention Selfridges. Our traveling group requested change of rooms for their 2 rooms, and reception accommodated their requests, when their original rooms were less than. Lobby and library areas on ground level are comfortable, spacious areas to gather, and the breakfast on tap had a wide range of offerings, well-prepared. As others have said, the service is friendly, attentive, and sincere and really makes staying here more than just a stay at a nice hotel. Love the Marylebone neighborhood and would definitely recommend staying here for the quietly upscale, yet approachable vibe.

Perfect place for a London stay.

Liked · The location is perfect for anything you would want in London. Baker street station is a few steps away to go to any museum, gallery, concert , theater ,venue or restaurant you may want and you have any shop needed just around the hotel. We even used a laundry a few blocks away with perfect and fast service to refresh our clothes in a multi city trip.
We stayed in a superior room that was spotless , very cozy, quiet and comfortable with a nice view of very typical London surroundings.
Front desk staff very friendly and professional.
The lobby areas and hotel Restaurant truly upscale, pleasant and comforrable. We arrived via Eurostar and travelled back from Heathrow via Paddington Heathrow express and via Uber to and from the stations to the hotel. Very practical , relaxed and at reasonable costs.
I fail to see the issues of some negative reviews that made us doubt a little. Everything was perfect for our stay. We will definetly stay at the Holmes when in London

Disliked · A very small issue: costs of drinks almost impossible to find when looking at the a la carte breakfast menu offers.

Holmes Hotel is a delightful place to stay! The location is great, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. My friend and I stayed in the Loft Suite, which was incredibly homey and cosy, offering a perfect retreat after a day out. It has a wonderful balance between comfort and style, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The à la carte breakfast was another highlight—with plenty of options to suit various tastes. I had the eggs benedict and it was delicious.

Overall, Holmes Hotel offers excellent value for a boutique stay, combining great service, a prime location, and thoughtful touches that make you feel at home. Highly recommended!

The Studio Suite was spacious with ample storage space and bathroom equipped with three handheld shower heads ( 2 for standing and one for seated bathing). An interior facing room guaranteed quiet. The dinner choices were perfect for sharing and the bar offered a very nice range of drinks and cocktails and comfortable bar seating. All hotel staff, from management, restaurant and bar, made every effort to accommodate requests. As happens periodically with any hotel, some little adjustments were needed. In this case, management and technicians (tv casting issue) were thoroughly accommodating and extremely pleasant. Last but not least, the decor was both fun and tasteful at the same time.

Really very pleasantly surprised and happy with our stay. I have to admit, I'm a hotel snob and hadn't really ever stayed at a Radisson property. We chose the Holmes hotel because we wanted to stay in Marlyebone and also we needed a room for our family of three. I've traveled to London a few times for work and was able to stay at some nice places like the Langham but since we were on a family vacation, I was looking for something family friendly and more affordable... but also nice. I'd definitely go back to the Holmes.
This hotel was really stylish - lots of great shared spaces - and the staff was so helpful. Right after we checked in, they called to make sure we were happy with our room. We needed a few extra things and they brought them up right away. We had a room on the first floor, so a little bit loud, but it had huge high ceilings and big beautiful windows overlooking Baker Street.
The room had a mini fridge that was empty so we could actually use it. The hotel provided bottle water every day and there was always extras in the lobby. The room also came with tea, coffee, and cookies.
The other huge bonus was the restaurant on site. We booked a package with breakfast included every day and it wasn't just pastries and coffee...we went to town. Great menu. Incredibly delicious croissants but also greek yogurt and eggs with salmon and of course the full English breakfast. We also had dinner there the first night, and cocktails a few other times - always impressed with the food and the service (shout out to Yuliana and Kostas...I hope I got your names right!).
We were also traveling with my mother in law; she had her own room just down the hall, and was really happy with the accommodations and the staff.
Overall, very impressed. Great location and great value, too.

I had an exceptional stay at Holmes Hotel in London. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my visit. A special thank you goes to Ash from the reception, whose warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel at home even before the moment I arrived. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for Ash's prompt assistance in resolving the problem I encountered with my hotel room reservation. Your professionalism and commitment to customer service were exceptional, and I am truly grateful for your swift response.
Your quick actions and willingness to address the issue immediately put my mind at ease. I appreciate the ease with which you found a suitable alternative solution.
Once again, thank you for your exceptional assistance. Your commitment to guest satisfaction has made a lasting positive impression on me.
As a Travel Agent I will not hesitate to recommend Holmes hotel to others based on the outstanding service you have provided.

The hotel itself is a gem, with spacious and beautifully designed rooms equipped with all the necessary amenities. The cleanliness was impeccable, thanks to the excellent work of the housekeeping staff.

The hotel's prime location provided easy access to popular attractions and reliable transport links, thanks to the knowledgeable staff who provided valuable advice and assistance.

What truly set Holmes Hotel apart was the genuine warmth and hospitality displayed by the entire staff. Every encounter, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, was met with a smile and a willingness to assist. It's clear that the staff takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about guest satisfaction.

Thank you, Ash, and the entire staff of Holmes Hotel, for making my stay truly exceptional. I look forward to returning in the future.

The only thing that bothered me a bit during my stay at Holmes Hotel was the noise from neighboring rooms. The acoustics seemed to be quite strong, as I could hear every step taken by other guests. However, despite this minor inconvenience, it did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience I had at the hotel.

My sister and I visited London in August to sightsee and attend a Taylor Swift concert at Wembley. I had been to London before, but this was the first time I was seeking hotel accommodations there. I knew I loved the Baker Street area from previous trips, which is bustling with shops and restaurants and near to the beautiful Regents Park. Holmes Hotel London popped up in my searches and I am so glad we booked our stay with them! The hotel staff was incredibly kind, helpful and personable, our room was spotless and well maintained by housekeeping throughout our visit, the restaurant was lovely and the location couldn't have been more perfect (easy transportation everywhere from Baker Street Station, which is only a short walk from the hotel). I loved how the hotel was decorated and it smells divine throughout the reception and lounge areas. There were a few times we interacted with reception beyond checking in and out and they went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed (ex: booking a cab to the airport, request for more towels and earlier housekeeping the day of the concert, etc.). On the day we arrived, we were jetlagged and I didn't realize my brand new sound machine had turned on inside of my checked luggage. It was playing a lullaby very loudly but I assumed it was coming from the hotel speakers. We left to explore for the day and when we returned hours later, the hotel staff had determined the source of the lullaby (without opening my bag) and we had the best laugh about it. I felt so badly that I'd left the bag there playing that song on repeat all day, but they assured us it was okay and even gave us free welcome drinks which was so very kind. They solved a real life Sherlock Holmes mystery and gave us an unforgettable memory along the way. We were so sad to leave at the end of our trip and can't wait to come back and stay there again one day soon. They have my highest recommendation!
