As a birthday treat my husband took me for a night at the Waldorf ,what a disappointment. The front of house staff were very welcoming ,the room was fine, but then came the evening meal. This was not five star dinning.A very ordinary menu, staff that didn't,t seem to care, slow service and then when the food finally arrived not cooked well.

Dear Guest, It gave us great sadness to see that you had enjoyed the service offered by our Front of House staff and liked the room...and yet your overall stay was so clouded by your dinner experience. It does seem that service standards did slip in this area. Please contact us on lonwa_guestrelations@hilton.com so that we may have the opportunity...

10/10 for an excellent enjoyable stay with friendly service, comfortable room and good food for breakfast, dinner and afternoon Tea. The hotel is within close proximity to Covent Garden, Theatre land, other restaurants and many historic parts of London.

I arrived at the hotel in the morning and early check in is allowed. Very impressive on arrival. Concierge staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good with standard choices of hot food. Vairiety of fruits are worth mentioning. Breakfast staff was excellent with smiles and service mind. Location is excellent for musical plays. Room is clean but window...

We stayed on the first floor in a standard queen room. The room was maybe on the small side but not a problem the bathroom was beautifully decorated very high level of attention to detail form the huge fluffy towels to the daily supply of designer bath products. The bed was very comfy and to my joy had a decent...

I was at the Waldorf for the day for a pre-arranged photo shoot for a magazine. The organisers from the hotel were fantastic, really helpful and a great service. I have no issues with them at all. It was the porters who really let the whole experience down. At the end of the shoot we had a lot of suitcases...

Dear Ellie M, I cannot emphasise my sincerest apologies for what you have discussed in your review. We take great pride in the service we provide so the overall impression you have of our door staff and thus The Waldorf Hilton as a whole is truly disappointing for all concerned. A protest occurring outside the hotel is a very rare...

In search of wheelchair friendly places in Europe is hard, but this hotel had it all. From the lift in the lobby to the spacious room and bathroom. The hotel decor is a bit outdated but it is still quite elegant, and very clean. The best part is this hotel is in the middle of all it all, in the...

2 nights in an over-priced hotel that lives on it's name and location. Waiting 5 minutes to be seated for breakfast is poor, waiting a further 20 mins for food is very poor....biting into said eggs and realising they are stone cold...unforgivable. Will not return.

Nothing in my room worked. Outlets? No. Hair dryer? No. TV? No again. Wifi workd but was incredibly slow and not at all geared for business travel. All of the bathroom fixtures are dated, and nothing seems clean. Also, the standard room that I received had 2 twin beds. Bizarre. Check in took much longer than it should have, and...

Dear Elizabeth F, Your feedback is very disappointing for us to review and absolutely not the standards that we strive for. Whilst on occasion, maintenance issues can occur, we do have engineers on-site to resolve any issues that may arise so that they do not have an impact on our guests. Likewise your comments regarding cleanliness and your initial room...

This is quite a lovely hotel in the West End theater district. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to shopping and short walk to the London Eye. Also, a short walk to the underground.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
