Was very excited to stay at the Waldorf for the first time last weekend but I have to say, the stay was exceedingly average. Don't get me wrong, the staff (on the whole) were exceptional but the hotel was not. The room was pokey, the shower didn't work (cold), the extortionate round of drinks we bought in reception (we weren't...

This is pitched as a premium Hilton in London complete with expensive cocktail bar and doormen. However, it doesn't serve breakfast of any kind until 7am. If you're staying on business and need an early start then you probably need to stay elsewhere. Not even a grab and go or a coffee cart - poor show...

We stayed here to go see a show for my little girls birthday so it was ideal for us as it is close to all theatres, The hotel itself was beautiful and the room spacious, the staff were very helpful and accommodating, breakfast was very enjoyable I would definitely stay here again.

As stated before in reviews, great location for theatre land and Covent Garden etc., The hotel was full to capacity during our stay with various functions taking place, that appeared to put the staff under pressure. Service slow afternoon tea and particulary in the evening. Otherwise a good experience as always. Room 802 has fantastic view over london.

We stayed at the Waldorf Hilton as the second leg of a two-part birthday trip which also took in Barcelona. The Waldorf was in complete contrast to the Hotel Arts in Barcelona in terms of décor. Being a significantly older, and historic hotel, the Waldorf is confined in how it can manage its star rating, but for me the nostalgia...

great room, clean and comfortable, the staff were on point. The exec lounge does look a bit tired, but was spruced up with the christmas decorations. Check in and out was very efficient and the service in the bar and quality of the drinks was great

My first time in this hotel since all my favorites where fully booked. The hotel is very centrally located at walking distance from all the major sites in London. The hotel itself is quite old with restricted common areas. The room was probably one of the smallest rooms I have ever stayed and the bathroom even smaller. Service was inconsistent...

Stayed for six nights in a beautiful executive suite with views onto Aldwych, so there was some street noise but not too much. The king bed and the sofa bed were both super comfy! The executive lounge was a big hit with us -- good breakfast, tea and cocktails. And the restaurant and bar downstairs were excellent as well. Room...

reviewed this hotel nearly 2 years ago and have stayed several times since then. It has consistently been very good and this stay has been no exception. The team in the Executive Lounge are smart, professional and on the ball - always willing to help if you need something. Our kettle 'crashed' at 0630 in the morning (probably blew it's...

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
