My daughter and I stayed here to celebrate her 21st . Our room was not ready when we arrived 1pm but that was expected so we left our bags and had a wander around Covent Garden then to the Shard for birthday afternoon tea . We returned around 6 pm and there was a much welcomed big on tap jar...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I love the Waldorf because it has a lovely feel about it. It is an historic building in its own right and the staff understand how that heritage has to be maintained. They all seem to work hard to preserve that aura. We were given a warm welcome by Jemma McKay who settled us in for our three night stay....

I have just spent three days (two nights) at The Waldorf Hilton in Aldwych, London. I have stayed previously but as I had my 10 yr old daughter with me this visit, the dynamics were very different. Because of this, prior to our visit we liaised with the Hotel staff regarding accommodation. The staff could not have been more helpful....

Was expecting a bit more glitz. Room was ready at 2pm so good to check in early.......however, no mention on booking.com or on hotel website of £50 per room additional fee to cover potential breakages/services. This was not explained when we checked in. I have no problem paying this but it should be made clear. The room was average. Window...

Stayed at the Waldorf last week for two nights with my sister and mum for mum's 70th birthday. I have to say the Waldorf presents a very mixed experience. It's almost as if there has been two separate recruitment drives within the hotel with one half of the staff being outstanding and the other half rude and unfriendly. On the...

We stayed here following a very special birthday and on finding out that it was special they offered to arrange anything we wanted, which was a nice touch. We didn't want a fuss as we had special things arranged all the time, but we took the upgrade they offered us, which put us in a larger room. The room had...

This hotel is in a great location for the theater but it is getting a little worn. I would not recommend upgrading to the Executive lounge. It was okay but the food selection was very limited compared to other Hilton properties.

Stayed for one night recently, all the traditions and the ornateness of such a grand establishment but when I got to my room I found that the sink had a crack in it but as I was only staying one night it wasn't a problem. Room was spacious and well equipped. The overall impression it is very good, its just...

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
