My partner and I stayed here a few weeks ago for my birthday and it was thoroughly enjoyable. We had a brilliant room which was incredibly spacious, and it was apparently only a standard, (which makes me think how lovely the other categories must be!) and the bed was so big and comfy, getting up in the morning proved a...

Had an amazing evening celebrating our wedding and both private function rooms were fantastic. First function room (pix provided) with high ceilings is amazing for a dinner followed by another function room where we had our entertainment and access to the private terrace. Most importantly it was the knowledge of Elisa (Events manager) who has helped us a lot and...

Our friend had her birthday party here so we opted to stay upstairs! We had a lovely big room but it was a bit stuffy and only one tiny window. Breakfast was good though with a nice choice in a nice room. The dining rooms and hotel grounds are lovely, the latter definitely deserving of an explore!

From the start when I contacted Cristina Rodriguez, the Events Manager, I received excellent advice and service on how to make our special event really special! Thank you Cristina! My brother, birthday boy, and his wife were staying at the Hotel so it was convenient to celebrate at the Hotel du Vin and Cristina advised us to enjoy the cream...

The attractive terrace restaurant came as a pleasant surprise because it was much better than recent T/A reports had written. We went on a Sunny Tuesday & to our surprise were able to grab the last free table which must mean the restaurant is popular and thats always a good sign. My wife had the Sea Trout which was correctly...

Arranged a special Friday night stay for one night over Easter. First impressions were good and reception staff (and bar staff) were pleasant and helpful, they also showed us a park view room so we decided to upgrade to this. We had a walk round the lovely gardens and then enjoyed our champagne as part of the deal. So far...

I was on an overnight stay and arrived on Sunday for early start to the week . This was a very large mistake.. the staff were stretched to their back teeth. Due to its central position alongside the common and Park , it attracts casual customers to the hotels amenities, which if manned correctly would be perfect. However they were...

Charming, unpretentious, quietly glamorous, with a very relaxed style. A terrific use of a local institution set in public parkland. Have previously stayed at Bristol site and was not disappointed. Glorious weather showed the place off nicely. Prices are about right. Menus are short but competently executed and served. Oddly, not much effort is made to showcase wine but that...

Spent a Friday night here on a great online deal! Can't fault it, service as you would expect was excellent, food and hotel were just delightful. Will definitely go back for more cocktails. Sky sports in your room is also a luxury!

Came for an early evening drink and nibble. Sat outside the conservatory looking across the beautiful gardens. We were in no rush which was just as well as despite it being a lovely evening and a number of other customers were outside, there was no service outside at all. We came in to order drinks and had to flag someone...
