Found the hotel on line and it seemed very convenient to the Albert Hall at a good price. Arrived at Gloucester Rd.tube station in pouring rain so the location was brilliant. Welcome and check in very smooth and our room was everything the website promised. So impressed by duty receptionist who hailed us a taxi in pouring rain A treat...

Centrally located hotel. 3 minutes walk from the Gloucester road underground. Hotel is oldish but clean. Room is small and tight - especially if one has 2 large suit cases. Staff members are friendly. Continental breakfast spread is adequate.

As part of our annual city break to London, I stayed at this hotel with my brother from 14-16 Dec-16. I booked the hotel through Booking.com which offered a very attractive rate. ** Room ** Our twin bed room (R401) was of a good size, well maintained and spotlessly clean. The maid did a thorough job each day keeping the...

The Ashburn Hotel was a delightful surprise. The price was good, the room was beautiful, the hotel decor was warm and welcoming, and it was very nicely located. Close to Tube, close to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, also near shops and restaurants. The staff were courteous and helpful. The complimentary champagne at happy hour was a nice touch. I...

Wanted a London Central hotel before flying out from Heathrow following day. After staying in many different hotels over the years,we found the Ashburn to be excellent. The room was the quietest room I have ever had in London. Elvira on reception was very pleasant. Will definitely stay here again.

I have recently discovered the Ashburn hotel and I am rather loathe to write this review as I intend to stay here regularly and I dont want it becoming so popular that I cant get a room. It is a little gem of a hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, well furnished and well equipped. The staff are all really friendly,...

We stayed two nights at the Ashburn and were pleasantly surprised by the facilities. Our room and bed were comfortable and the hotel location was close to some restaurants and a big supermarket. The breakfast was very good, in a charmingly arranged area. The staff was helpful from the moment we stepped in for check.

We arrived at the Ashburn on a Thursday morning after an eight hour trans-Atlantic flight and a forty minute ride from Heathrow. We waited only about a half hour for our room to be available after I asked the receptionist if we could check in early. She was observant and understanding of my wife's requirement to catch some needed sleep...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
