I am appalled to say i booked this hotel for a hen weekend, we had 7 people staying on the Friday & Saturday night & 11 more guests coming down for the Saturday night. We checked in on the Friday & although the rooms were ok (basic) nearly almost everyone had 2 or 3 things wrong with it. Ranging from...

This hotel was excellent, we were allowed to check in early due to our bus arriving early. This was no hassle! The reception is open 24 hours as you have to leave your key at reception (this made us worry alot less about losing the key). We booked a superior double having read other reviews saying it is worth paying...

Booked this 'hotel' through agoda.com having been misled by that website into thinking that it was an apartment. After waiting 10 minutes at reception whilst the only member of staff dealt with a complaint I opened the room to find it was a tiny, double that was threadbare and tired. Immediately went to reception to ask for a bigger room...

Location was great for the proms, the room was clean and tidy although small and although I would not want to spend too much time in the room (where would we both sit!) met our requirements. There are issues, we had a balcony room and therefore could not have fresh air into the room ( and feel safe) so we...

Though the rooms were comfortable and the location was adequate, I would be reluctant to stay there again. It has a stocked kitchenette, which was very helpful, but the front desk staff was not very friendly or helpful. The service staff was fine, however. One downside of this hotel is that the elevator holds just one person and one full...

My wife and I and my parents stayed here for 4 nights during the Olympics. I booked it because it was one of the few hotels in London offering a reasonable rate at the time I booked for the Olympics and the location seemed good. Both of these turned out to be accurate. The location in Kensington is very nice...

This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever been. Outside looks like a hotel, but inside is more like a hostel. In our country (Romania) will be like a one star hotel. We had a small room in the basement that smelled like chlorine, with no possibility to open the window, near the so called "breakfast room". The breakfast...

worth paying more for the larger suites, but all very nice well cleaned and with good sized kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. Reception staff are excellent and I will return here again as the location and quality of the suite vs a traditional hotel is so much better. Located near shops and restaurants and several nice cafes, a great place to...

A great bargain stay for london. We had a large family room in the basement, with kitchen, bathroom & separate bedroom. Very clean & comfortable, with a good breakfast. Great location for the tube, restaurants & within walking distance of the V&A, & British Museum. I wouldn't stay anywhere else now.

Me and my friend booked a trip to London for my birthday to include tickets to see a west end musical and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice hotel and I seen this hotel at a reasonable price but still over £100 for the one night. When we arrived at the hotel the afternoon of the 22/5/12 it was...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
