This was our first stay at this hotel and it won't be our last. For a very reasonable price we found ourselves in a cosy hotel with cheery welcoming staff and in an excellent location. Okay, the room was a bit on the small side but were only in there for a few hours after collapsing in the bed once...

If London hotels are generally bad valued this is a happy exception. It is an AA3* hotel yet my booked single room is more spacious than similar rooms at 4* hotels such as Strand Palace and Shaftesbury International Hyde Park. My room which is equipped with a most useful Trouser Press, overlooks a pleasant garden square, and the hotel is...

Stayed for two nights here, booked on Hotel.com. £120 for two nights, single room no breakfast. Great value for London. Room was a bit tired but was spacious enough for one. Large wardrobe, bathroom actually had a bath. Location was great. Two min walk from underground and loads of shops, pubs bars etc nearby. Nothing bad about the hotel, but nothing good either.

Location is great, very close to Earls Court tube. Facilities were excellent, clean and a comfortable bed. We were able to check in really early. Perfect for Topdeck tours as they depart from out the front.

I've stayed twice now - it's an interesting hotel. Location is great - 2 minute walk from Earls Court tube and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel itself is interesting - rooms are tired and dated but clean and adequate for business stay. It's good value for London but don't expect luxury - I like it. Had a certain...

I have stayed at other hotels in this area and they are all much, much nicer than the Burns!! It's old, not upgraded for many years, small bedroom with minimal furniture. It cheap, but not even worth what they charge!!

Loved my stay at this hotel. Exceptional staff, very friendly and took special care of our group. Hotel is in a lovely location and Earls Court Station is almost on the door step - so close. Rooms and bathrooms were lovely and English Breakfast was very good. Once again, very friendly service from the staff in the Dining Room. Lots...

Just returned from a one night stay at The Burns. Lovely hotel conveniently situated near Earls Court tube. We arrived early but did check in and left our case and then returned later. We where in room 115. Excellent large room with a huge bed. Situated on the first floor, at the front and overlooking the gardens in the square....

This hotel is in an excellent location that is very close to the Earls Court station. The pros: good price on the room, very friendly staff, quiet neighborhood and great location for walking anywhere you need to go. The cons: my husband and I were very surprised that there was NO AIR CONDITIONING. At first we thought it may not...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
