Detailed Reviews
From the very first step after entering the building, you begin to feel special. Interior, cordiality, attention to details; classic, beautifully finished rooms make you feel like in a fairy tale. However, staff is what sets this boutique hotel apart from the competition. Professional, not overly formal, we felt as if we were hosted by our best friend. So here it is - if you're after a unique London experience, move the London Eye or Madame Tussaud down the "TO DO LIST". Make Egerton House Hotel your priority even if you live in London yet want to experience something special. At the very least you are obliged to have Vodka Martini prepared by the bartender at your table. Splendid!

Dear janmamak, I would like to extend my personal thanks for your glowing review of The Egerton House Hotel and your experience whilst you were here. It is a very special place to the people that work here and the common ambition of my team and me is to ensure our guests depart with fond memories. That however is unrelated to our business directives and completely down to our personal commitment to guest service. There is no grater accolade than a guest saying they felt as though they were staying with friends rather than in a hotel - that is the difference and your sentiment means a lot to us all and is reciprocated. Please do come and see us again and look upon The Egerton House as your London home. Sending warmest wishes from us all here and enormous thanks for choosing to stay with us. Yours sincerely, Michelle Devlin General Manager

My friend and I stayed at the Egerton House hotel for 5 nights recently and it could not have been any better.
The staff anticipates your every need, the breakfast was lovely, and the rooms were beautiful. Though a bit small, my room was fine for one person, and the bath and shower were perfect. The shower pressure was amazing, and the double blinds made the room very dark for sleeping. The bed was very comfortable and cleaned up very nicely every day. Each night there was a little surprise on our bed, and downstairs they had candies and snacks wrapped up to take each day. The staff was lovely, especially Alex, who went out of h is way to accomodate. I will definitely stay here again when I return.

Where to go, when to go, painstaking research ... a seemingly unlimited amount of information. So when my wife and I finally decided on a holiday trip to London, we booked The Egerton. And I must say, we are so glad we did. This was the definition of flawless. From the minute we arrived until the moment we left, it was an absolute pleasure. Every single staff member was a delight. From reception, housekeeping, coffee/tea, bar service, management, all aspects of this hotel are top notch. A sincere thank you to Alex, Mustafa, Jacques, Charlie, Adriana, Ana, Sabhi, Eslay, Hamoussa, Michelle (and of course Millie the resident Jack Russell). There were others as well, as not a single staff-member is to be discounted, but those mentioned we routinely communicated with during our stay. We traveled with our kids (18 & 19) and had two rooms. Both were fantastic and presented in pristine condition. The rooms were serviced twice daily (once in the morning and then again for turn-down service - thank you Adriana!) The bar service is so renowned, that locals frequent the hotel ... yes you heard that correctly, and serves perhaps the best Martini is all of London (frequently written up for its exacting presentation). Its location in the heart of Knightsbridge provides an easy walk to cafes, shops, museums, the Tube and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the incredible hospitality. Truly grateful to all of you for taking such good care of my family. A wonderful, memorable experience.

Dear kapitfamily, Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous Egerton experience on TripAdvisor, What can we say? We absolutely loved having you and your family stay with us, and we were beyond sad to have to say goodbye. Your comments about your visit to the Egerton are overwhelming, and I cannot tell you how delighted I am to be able to share such wonderful praise for the staff with my team members - it is genuinely an absolute pleasure to be able to see so many of them recognised for their hard efforts. And Milly, too! I am also very pleased to read that you were comfortable in the hotel, and that the bedrooms were to your satisfaction, something that we take very seriously for all of our guests. Once again thank you for your kind review, I do hope that we will see you all again on your next visit to London. Warm regards, Michelle

Perfect from start to finish!
Only stayed the one night (should
of stayed more) we had a little dog with us , she was treated like a princess nothing was too much trouble.
We arrived early and our room was ready staff carried our bags and settled us in to our room ( very friendly and so welcoming) , car dropped off at the car park very efficient staff.
Everything I asked for was in the room for the dog (perfect) even a dog bandana 😊
The room was very clean with fresh fruit and homemade shortbreads!
Breakfast was delicious lovely service and waitress met all needs even the dog left her plate clean.
The manger of the hotel said he would drop our car off the next morning outside the hotel in bay as it was free parking saving us £45 on a Sunday and he let us have a late checkout!
We stayed for afternoon tea and of course doggy afternoon tea😊 it was just amazing!! We were treated like royalty and made to feel so welcome. The tea was delicious highly recommended!
A beautiful hotel in a great location with a tremendous staff team! (Who can’t do enough for you)
Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve left this a little late to review, as I was unsure about whether to rate 4 or 5 stars.
The staff were super friendly and chatty and very welcoming. We were shown to our room upon checkin which is always nice.
The hotel is super clean and very well located for some of the many sights that London has to offer.
The room was extremely small. I know you do expect small rooms in the heart of London, but this was small. The whole bathroom got wet when we had a shower as the bathroom was very small too. We constantly kept bumping into each other while trying to get dressed and ready for the evening. It was quite frustrating to be honest.
The main reason I decided to give this review a 4 star, is the breakfast. The breakfast room was again very small, I think around 7-8 tables, which wasn’t a problem, but even though there were (I think) 3 lovely members of staff taking care of the breakfast, the service was incredibly slow. The drinks took ages to get replaced for the self service top up, and the food took forever to come out. When it did come out it was stone cold, but we didn’t dare send it back as we couldn’t afford to wait any longer. I couldn’t work out why it was so slow as the breakfast room was well tended by the staff, but it just took ages.
All in all, a good experience but not sure the cost was justifiable.

Dear GandC1994, I would like to thank you for taking the time to review The Egerton House Hotel on TripAdvisor - your feedback is much appreciated and always taken very seriously. First and foremost, I regret to read of the experience you had and definitely feel it isn't the experience we pride ourselves on offering our guests. There is no reasonable explanation as to why your food arrived cold and I am sorry that you felt you couldn't even send it back due to the time in which it took to arrive in the first instance. This has been dealt with internally and I hope your experience won't dissuade you from returning to stay with us in the future. Your compliments towards the team are much appreciated however and I would like to extend thanks. I generally find it more effective to discuss concerns before our guests leave the hotel in order for us to address any shortfalls efficiently and correctly, though if you would like to contact me directly to discuss the matter further, please do not hesitate to do so. If you would be prepared to offer us an redeeming chance to change your mind about The Egerton House and would like to rebook, I will personally take care of your reservation and see to it that you depart with fond memories - which will always be our ultimate aim. I truly mean it, so please do get in touch. Wishing you a pleasant weekend and I hope to hear from you at some point. Notwithstanding that, I would like to thank you for choosing to stay with us. Warmest regards, Michelle Devlin General Manager

I had booked afternoon tea for 2 and a doggy afternoon tea for my 13 year old Westie and we loved every minute of it.
Staff prior to our visit were amazing with some dietary requirements and organised a bear for Lola too.
We received a warm call to confirm we were still attending the day prior to our booking and on the afternoon of our booking the dietary requirements were reconfirmed by the staff to ensure our afternoon tea was ready for our arrival.
The hotel is a short walk from Harrods and looked stunning with their festive decorations adorning the outside of the hotel.
From the moment we walked up to the steps, the door was opened for us, we were warmly greated by the team and then given a choice of seating areas ahead of being made comfortable at our table.
The stunning decor continued throught the hotel and really added to the atmosphere.
At our table, we were walked through all the different tea options and Lola's doggy afternoon tea options were all reconfirmed.
The afternoon tea itself was beautifully presented and the cakes were amazing. The doggy afternoon tea was presented in 3 lovely ceramic dishes and looked fantastic.
The attention to detail and ensuring Lola felt at home was amazing as she was given a comfortable blanket to sit on, which also meant she was able to sit on the furniture with the blanket, she was poured her water and fussed over by the staff.
As we couldn't quite finish all our cakes, these were boxed up in lovely red branded cake boxes for us to take away with us and Lola received an extra portion of the homemade meat loaf and biscuits for her journey home - even this was careful wrapped and placed in a lovely glossy red gift bag.
Just upon leaving, we were also given some giant candy canes as part of the festive experience.
From start to finish we received excellent five star service from all of the Team and were made to feel like VIPs.
I can't recommend a visit to The Egerton House Hotel highly enough and we have taken away some lovely memories of our time there with Lola so if you have a dog who you love to travel with then this is the place for you!
Thank you again everyone for an amazing experience

My friend and I went on a reunion trip back to the lovely area we lived in as university students. We found the Egerton House Hotel was just half a block from where our dormitory was years ago. And we couldn't have been happier with our selection. The hotel is just beautiful and each room is uniquely designed with top quality materials and comforts. The service is divine and they anticipate your needs before you're even aware of them.We loved our fresh, delicious breakfasts each day and turndown service that always provided little surprises. The front desk staff went out of their way to recommend just the right restaurants and directions we needed. I plan to return to the Egerton House Hotel with my husband next time and feel that I now have my home away from home in London. And it's in my favorite part of town, just a 5 min walk to the Victoria and Albert Museum, in the middle of great restaurants and shops and in between the Knightsbridge and South Kensington tube stations. Love this property!! And thank you to the staff of Egerton House Hotel. Oh, it is a dog friendly hotel and loved to see the well mannered dogs and their owners visiting for afternoon tea!!

A good product is essential for a successful organisation but it's the people who make it an outstanding success or a mediocre entity. Egerton House is an outstanding success. The product i.e. the building, the reception rooms and the bedrooms are beautifully appointed and decorated to the highest standards of design and materials with one of the cleanest, well kept and maintained hotels we have ever stayed in.
However it is the team who bring to the hotel it's outstanding success; from the warmest of greetings on arrival, to the level of housekeeping, to the fantastic cocktails made by Sahbi and served by Chinmay (don't miss the cheese toasties), to the level of attention to detail throughout our stay and to the sincerest and most heartfelt "cheerio's" on leaving courtesy of Jacques and Natalia.
All the staff at the hotel are charming and efficient and we would like to thank them all, however, in particular we would like to mention Morgan and Scott S who made our wedding anniversary very special - thank you for the candles, rose petals and chocolate coated strawberries and for looking after us so well. To sum up if you want be cosseted in a small, beautiful, and quiet London hotel in a great location where absolutely nothing is too much trouble and the staff are amazing then look no further Egerton House is for you.

My new bride and I were visiting London during our stay where the hotel and it’s staff did EVERYTHING and more to ensure we had a 5-Star service.
We were shown the amenities available at the hotel before being shown to our room, where a glass of champagne, cakes and fresh fruit were waiting for us.
Staff wouldn’t let us lift a finger as they carried our bags and opened every door, whilst providing us with delightfully friendly conversation at the same time.
Our minibar was restocked twice daily whilst blinds and curtains were drawn for us ahead of our arrival back from the evening out.
In the morning we even had a fresh and delicious breakfast brought to our room with freshly squeezed orange juice.
I cannot recommend The Eggerton House Hotel enough. I hope my wife and I can revisit again soon!

We were celebrating my mum' s birthday at the Egerton and spent three wonderful days .We appreciate the very warm welcome, friendliness and attention of all the staff throughout the hotel, the cleanliness of the rooms, the restaurant, the bar, the reception and the lobby. Everywhere you look around you feel the love for the small details, which makes you feel so cosy, for instance fresh flowers in the breakfast room on Sunday morning. We also enjoyed the attention, my mum' got on her birthday, during breakfast and the afternoon tea and the personal congratulations from all the staff. The breakfast buffet is rich, everything is served fresh, the service is excellent, the food delicious. This also concerns the presentation and service during the afternoon tea. We thank you for this special stay. We will never forget this lovely hotel with its staff. We will be back soon.

If you are seniors do not fool with anything other than Uber. You will have lots of walking to get to the Heathrow Express and when you get to Paddington, it is hell to get a cab or Uber there. You will end up spending the same amount as a Uber all the way from LHR.
Dear jon_ajjoa...,
Thank you for your question!
The Egerton is situated in between Knightsbridge and South Kensington underground stations, the West of London.
I spent some time here solo and the staff were helpful and friendly but maintained a professional distance. So yes I would recommend for Solo. Also great location
Hi, Yes, they can make the beds up as 2 singles by request, Lovely place to stay!!
The hotel staff are very accommodating and I'm pretty sure if you turn up with nice new trainers it will be fine. I have to wear similar because of joint problems and it was never commented on. Apart from that, the people I saw having afternoon tea were dressed in a variety of very dressy to smart but casual. All the staff there will want you to have a lovely time, so be comfortable and enjoy.
