Our Cavendish experience was simply exquisite. The hotel management were exceptional in accommodating a few bumps in my reservation caused by booking.com. We were given a complimentary room upgrade and breakfast. The attention to detail, effort and care put into our wedding anniversary celebration was very appreciated. Highly recommend and would definitely book again. Superb location, fantastic breakfast and very...

The location of the hotel is amazing. Room was quite small and did not have slippers and bath robes. Price was very good compared to quality. Staff is very polite and helpful and room service was better than the typical hotel.

Very welcoming and an exceptional hotel, we stayed there on a theatre break weekend in one of the suites and it was everything we expected plus more. The staff in the restaurant and bar were extremely helpful and professional to make the weekend perfect. The suite was very clean and room service was precisely to the minute that we ordered...

This is an excellent choice for anyone. The location is superb and the facilities excellent. If I have to find something it lacks, is the view. But we didn't indent to stay inside !! The staff more than polite and helpful. Thank you for the lovely stay.

I have passed this hotel innumerable times over the years but never stayed there. The opportunity arose recently and I was not disappointed. This is a modern building dating from the 1960's but is the successor to the original hotel founded by the legendary "Duchess of Duke Street" as I found out in the interesting booklet on the hotel's history...

We stay here at least 4 times a year for our visits to London and it is always fabulous. The location is great for getting anyway in town either walking or via tube. The rooms are always spotless and the breakfast plenty full. Our only observation is the new bar area which we feel is not very inviting. When it...

Perfect location for theatre land and shopping. Very comfortable room and welcoming staff. Everything you need for a short break in London at a reasonable price in such a great city centre location. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food but our room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The hotel was more...

Really welcoming and friendly staff. Very helpful and approachable. Nothing too much trouble . We were able to safely leave our luggage after we had checked out so were able to factor in an extra few hours sightseeing. Rooms a good size and clean. Chosen for the location initially but would recommend it and would certainly choose to stay there...

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
