Upon arrival at the hotel, the exterior was fairly impressive. The receptionist was attentive and she explained the room wasn't ready yet but we could keep our bags there & come back later. I passed her my rucksack and she just put it behind the desk - no name, no room number...nothing. I left really concerned for my belongings -...

Nice facade, nice people, nice hotel lobby but if this is where you're considering staying for a trip to London - my advice is: avoid, avoid, avoid. We stayed in room 303 which is up four flights of narrow, steep stairs and threadbare carpet. The room itself had a wafer thin threadbare I'll fitting red carpet that had deteriorated to...

This is easily the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. I had to kick a water bottle out of the way to shut the toilet door, there's signs warning not to take drugs in the rooms, smell of fresh cigarette smoke, the beds have huge dents in, no kettle, storage space is leaving your belongings next to the main door,...

I was surprised by the bad reviews! I stayed there for 1 night with my wife and consider this hotel a great value for money in London since it was cheap (50), near to the main train station which is 15min walking and safe neighbourood and the staff was really good plus the rooms are like the photos with all...

LOCATION: easily accessible, short walk to Queensway and Bayswater tube, bus stop right outside. Quaint district, restaurants, bars and convenience store run parallel to the hotel. PROPERTY: very basic and budget market, common areas are very tired and rundown, investment require to bring this hotel in line with our budget hotels in this price range. ROOM: decent compact size for...

Shame you can only upload 10 photos- I took 38. Christ, where to start?! Manager did not even apologise for the absolute disgrace of a room. Our first room had dried food over all cutlery and bowls which we had to clean before using it. The lights were hanging out the ceiling- one blew up. Shower doors wouldn't close. Found...

Pros. The room we had was decorated two weeks ago so was fresh looking. The staff were helpful when there was a issue with the booking. Good location Cons. Beds awful. Double quilt in a single cover doubled over. Double blanket folded in half in a cover on the other bed. Freezing cold, they had no spares. Noise horrendous every...

From previous reviews I can see that some rather harsh things have been said of the Whiteleaf hotel. Yes its true that the Hotel is very basic and there are clearly some signs of wear and tear around the place. The room that I stayed could have done with some general decoration and some updates to the windows and bathroom...

The rooms were dirty, smelly and very moldy. The floors were sticky and clearly hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. Stairs to the rooms were disgusting and the carpet was broken on most steps. I asked for a room change but they said to be fully booked.. I had booked this hotel in advance but ended up not staying...
