This Hotel is simply fantastic. I brought my partner here for her birthday, as she's never stayed in London, I wanted to try something elegant and classy so I booked the Washington in Mayfair. The Hotel added extra special touches for the occasion and had a very pleasing surprise along the way. The staff are brilliant and very attentive, simply...

Lovely hotel with staff that don't seem to interested. Room is clean and big but appliances need to be updated- iron blew up and coursed the electric to go off in the room plus pat test on hair dryer was not up to date. Breakfast staff are friendly, lots of choice however food is tasteless and drinks are watered down...

Located only few minutes walk from the Green Park Station, the hotel is very well situated right in the heart of London. Very close to, walking distance from Piccadilly, Soho, Covent Garden and major streets. For those who have business in Canary Wharf, only one single line, Jubilee line, gets you there from the Green Park Station. A convenient place...

We were in London for the first time and our plans at another "4 star" hotel had fallen through. We walked around and around and came across the Washington Mayfair. After waiting a bit, we were lucky enough to meet Annette S., the GM of the hotel. She changed our whole trip by getting us a great room and breakfast!...

nice old building with modern interior - attended with a friend for afternoon tea and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The tea was very nice, although they had been warned in advance that I was allergic to shellfish and fish, and they served the sandwiches and smoked salmon open sandwiches all on the same plate! They took this...

This is an excellent hotel, located in the best spot in London, Mayfair. Green Park underground station, 3 minutes away, with its 3 lines, takes you anywhere. Next door you can enjoy the culinary delights of Sheperd's Market, and Kai, rated the best Chinese restaurant in London is within 6 minutes walk. Cafe Nero and Tesco is just in front...

Given that it is only two weeks since I stayed here, it is surprising just how little I remember of it so I will not go into detail I have forgotten. Suffice to say that it feels distinctly past its sell-by date and in need of investment. That said, it is well located and less expensive than most of its...

A reservation with 2 other coworkers, 450GBP per room prepaid. We make it to the hotel at 10pm and a manager with an italian accent tells us he has good and bad news, being the bad news the hotel is full, and the good one we will go to a better hotel. It's 10pm and we don't want to have...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
