The hotel is well situated close to public transport and good restaurants. Five minute walk to Tube. The hotel is situated 100 yards away from main roads so rooms are quiet Staff was friendly. My only comment... is why do they put room thermostat so low... 30inch off the ground?!!

i booked well in advance for my anniversary treat for my wife at a rate of £199 per night. After being shown our room i looked at the bathroom which looked as if no maintenance had been done for some time or had no maintenance structure. i have attached imaged and tell me if you would pay £199 for it....

I recently stayed at The Washington for 6 nights for a business trip. I travelled with a business associate that had a separate room -- yet the same opinion. This "hotel" is basically a 2 star, claiming to be more. The room quality is low... dirty carpets, an abysmal bed (with slats below the "mattress" that broke... literally), cheap furniture,...

I'm not sure how this hotel achieved 4 stars. I've stayed in better premier inns to be honest. If you want a good location and a good breakfast then this hotel is for you. Just don't expect a clean room or courteous staff. They tried charging us £50 in case we raided their mini bar and were made to feel...

This 4star hotel should has without a doubt the least personal servive i have experienced in a very long time. Nothing more than under average. As we checked in the reception claimed they had to charge my creditcard 50 pounds per night per room to cover charges made to room. Minibar etc. I told that that was I was not...

I was very disappointed when I came here, the only positive thing with this hotel is the Location!!!! But I had room towards the street and there where workers the whole day making a lot of noise and also in the night. Beds are extremely hard and pillows too. I stayed one night and have pain in my back!!! The...

I stayed at the Washington Mayfair hotel for a two week period and never once had a complaint about it. The staff was always helpful, understanding and friendly. The room was nice and spacious with large bathroom. And it is located just a short walk from Buckingham Palace, or Piccadilly Circus. Good location and good establishment.

This hotel is in an excellent location, just north of Buckingham Palace. The hotel was very clean, the lobby was inviting. The room was actually bigger than expected and suited 2 people just fine. Plenty of closet space and drawers to unpack your clothes into. The room also came with a safe. The bathroom had a large bath/shower with towel...

I've stayed at the Washington Mayfair a number of times with a US university student group that uses the hotel for two weeks every year-- late December to early January--and I have never been disppointed. I simply can't say enough good things about the hotel. The general manager, Annette, is so wonderful and welcoming, and we always feel like we...

Disappointing hotel in a nut shell, the room was smaller than anticipated the decor, fixtures and fittings we're tired. Welcoming senior member of staff, junior member of staff clearly needed more knowledge of booking arrangements. The bar prices were excessive for alcoholic drinks, the full English breakfast on the other hand was very good in quality and taste. Restaurant staff...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
