Stayed here for one night as we had tickets for an event at the O2. It's easy to get to from Waterloo Station and just a short taxi drive away from the O2 Arena. The reception and staff were very welcoming and checked us in really efficiently. The room was typical city living - small but with all of the...

Stayed for 2 nights for local business. Well positioned for transport links and tourist attractions. Pretty much a budget hotel, with some quirky things to make it stand out - not sure they all work! Lights hanging on big cables in bedroom just make the place look messy. Small corner wardrobe is poky - and only one hanger! If you...

My wife and I recently made a trip back to London and stayed in the very generously priced Ibis hotel in Greenwich. This hotel has a terrific location just a short walk from both the Greenwich town centre, which is full of excellent cafes and restaurants, as well as world-famous attractions such as the Cutty Sark and Gypsy Moth, the...

I give it top marks as a . The Ritz it aint..... but all we wanted was a bed for the night. That was one of the most comfortable I have encountered. The hotel is also very quiet at night. Yes the rooms are small but adequate (and big enough to house a small single for our 2yo Grand-daughter) and...

Checkin and lobby smooth, fast and friendly. The "Cafe Rouge" restaurant also very fast, very friendly and actually with a quite fine price-quality relation. The main problem I experienced with the hotel itself was my room: Stylewise really outdated, but most important without working heating. It was something like 4°C outside and there was no heating inside the room. I...

Short stay in this beautiful hotel I love the decor of the hotel when I arrived at the front desk the lovely gentleman Naiem was very friendly and helpful he explained to me about everything about the hotel and made me feel welcome I'm surprised on how he has to run the front desk and bar by himself

The first thing that stands out about this hotel is that it is super clean. Which to me is much more important than the décor! Not that the décor is bad at all, just very basic. We had only paid £60 per night per room so weren't expecting much but the staff were really friendly and happy to help. The...

The staff are super helpful and friendly. The rooms are nicely fitted but TINY. The weird single beds that become a double are very comfortable. Oddly there seemed to be insufficient bath mats and towels. Then again, the price is VERY affordable and the location ideal. It was also nice to open the window and avoid hotel air...until the street...

Good value for a centrally located hotel and parking available on site if you get ahead of the crowd. Breakfast at the adjacent Cafe Rouge was a definite plus. All staff were friendly and very helpful. Will use again.

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
