My husband and I booked a double room here last October 2011 due its good reviews, location and 24 hour reception. The rooms may be a little on the small side but you cannot fault the cleanliness or comfort. you are only a 3 minute walk from a great English pub which does wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Underground...

Stayed at Bae2Stay Kensington for 7 night while visiting London and couldn't speak more highly of our experience with this Hotel. The Staff are great and found Maria and Alexandra especially helpful with any request we had, They were very friendly with our little boy that added that extra warm family touch. The Hotel Location was great to see London...

Good price, location, and room set-up for a stay in London. Close to the Earl's Court tube station, with easy access to the city and airport. Nice clean room, with refrigerator, coffee maker; on quiet street. One of the few hotels we found with sleeping room for 3.

I had a great stay here, it's a great location, clean, with nice amenities including a small kitchen and modern bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue was the Internet. Free wifi service was advertised but it did not work in my room. When I complained I found out that the wired ethernet service had an...

We stayed at Base2Stay twice in June 2012: before and after a cruise we took of the British Isles. On the first time we had a "Superior' room (sleeps 3) and later we had a "Double'. Both were very nice but for a longer stay it is nice to have the extra space that the Superior room offers. The rooms...

Its not a big chain, so limited ammenities, but for the price I'd definitely stay again. The front desk team helps you at every turn, answering questions about London, transportation and restaurant picks. Since we had 5 people in our group we had one triple and one double. Our triple had an outdoor patio which was great. Did I mention...

Stayed 3 nights as a couple June 2012 Well located hotel in quiet area, nice room, good staff, good AC, but crap Wi-Fi. The main room and bathroom are neat, tidy, roomy and comfortable. Wonderful location - only 250m walk to tube station and lots of shops and cafes. I stayed in the single room which had a single bed which. The kitchenette (incl microwave) was handy and meant I didn't have to eat out for every meal. Staff were very helpful and will stay at base2stay again next time I'm in London.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
