- The location is great.
It's just a 1-2 minute walk to Russell Square Station and the 188 bus stop.
You can walk to King's Cross Station, the British Museum, University of London, etc.
It feels like Takadanobaba in Japan.
There is a Tesco that is open until late at night and a large supermarket called Waitrose nearby.
- The hotel only speaks English, and although I didn't speak any English, the staff were polite and communicated with me.
- The elevator only goes up, and you select the floor after tapping the room key on the sensor above the elevator buttons.
- No need to go down. In London, floors marked "G" instead of "1" are ground floors.
- The room is clean, and although there is no air conditioning, the air conditioning was just right.
- The shower is fixed and has a bathtub. Hot water comes out quickly.
- There is also a hair dryer.
- There is a kettle. There are two mugs and spoons, and instant coffee and tea are available. - When connected to Wifi, you can use Chromecast on the Android TV in your room.
The built-in closet is large.
- There are USB ports for two people on the wall next to the bed. No power converter required.
- After checking out, they were able to store our luggage until our flight.
Without us having to explain, the staff asked us if they wanted us to store our luggage for them.
Overall, the staff are all very friendly.
- There is a bar-like area with many sofas next to the front desk.
Further back, it leads to the London souvenir shop next door.
- If you choose the breakfast plan, give your room number and name at the entrance to the dining room.
The breakfast is the same every day.
Oatmeal, dried fruit, about six kinds of bread, four kinds of cereal,
scrambled eggs, fried eggs, ham, salami, sausage,
grilled tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, stewed beans,
hash browns, Greek yogurt, cucumber
three kinds of juice, multiple T-packs, coffee maker (cocoa, latte,
macchiato, americano, hot milk, etc.)
■Bad points
- There were no American toothbrushes, combs, razors, etc.
They might have provided them if I had asked.
They did replace the towels and toothbrush cups.
- The faucet in the shower room had separate outlets for hot and cold water, so it was practically impossible to adjust the temperature.
- The shampoo? Conditioner? Body soap? provided in the shower room
were all in the same container. All-in-one?
- The toilet's water pressure was not great and sometimes it didn't flush in one go.
- There was no refrigerator. - The closet hangers in the room are not hook-shaped.
They are a unique design. A little difficult to use.

Savoury and sweet breakfast and I would say there was everything you need to eat and be ready for the day out.
The hotel offers a water refill dispenser at the entrance, this free service is very popular and also umbrellas at a cost of £2.00 for the whole day with payment by card! In London you can pay everything by card even very small amounts in fact throughout my stay I never had to change euros for pounds but paid everything by credit / debit card , a wonder !!!!
On the last day they keep your bags so you can enjoy the city to the last and come back to get your things to go to the airport.
I will definitely consider it for a future stay.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Russell Square tube station, which itself is only about a 10 minute ride from Waterloo.
The Russell Square / Bloomsbury area looked vibrant with lots of welcoming pubs and restaurants nearby.
Check in was quick, efficient and friendly. There were ample staff on the desks in the large reception area to check guests in, with no wait at all. The Atrium bar is located just off the main reception area, where we enjoyed some pre dinner drinks in the "art deco style" lounge.
Our room was modern and clean with the large comfy double bed in the centre. The room had a large flat TV that had good connectivity options and plenty of apps. Wi-fi in the room was strong and free with USB charging points on the walls to keep devices going. There was no air-con in our room so we slept with the window open, which didn't prove to be a problem as there was little outside noise (even on the 1st floor), although it might get a bit hot in the summer.
The bathroom was clean and modern looking. Lots of complimentary items were supplied, shaving kit, toothbrush and paste and really nice hair and body products. The shower was amazing, really, really powerful and hot. One of the best showers we've experienced in a hotel anywhere! The only downside to the bathroom was the positioning of the toilet, too close to the wall despite there seeming to be space for better positioning.
Breakfast was another high point, plenty of freshly cooked, hot, full english options; Sausages, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns, tomato, beans etc. There were also continental options, whatever that is !!
When we checked out of the hotel, we took advantage of their complimentary left luggage service, so we could continue to explore without lugging our bags around.
We really enjoyed our stay and would return again. Only the lack of air-con and tightly positioned toilet dropped the score to a four. Otherwise, everything else was superb.
Unfortunately my friend fell on the street and broke her leg on our first day in london.
We want to thank the President hotel staff for the warm treatment and understanding.
Everyone was so attentive and trying to help. It was really moving for us to feel such empathy and generosity.
The reception staff changed our room to one that is closer to the elevator. They helped us make phone calls for local help in london and arrange our early flight back . They even packed us breakfast that helped us through all day we were in flight ,airports and in our local hospital after we arrived back home.
The hotel can be proud of the great people that are working there with great service and allways with a smile and good word.

As you might know, prices in London especially during the festive season are very high, but President Hotel was reasonably priced. It is located next to Russel Square tube station, very convenient and just a five minute walk from The British Museum.
Breakfast was included for us and it was everything you could ask for, with staff being very attentive, clearing the table promptly so we could have more space.
The rooms are spacious - bare in mind it's London, so they are spacious for London :)), but they are also very clean, sound proof and modern enough - with a wifi booster in every room so connection is very good, as well as usb plugs next to both nightstands.
Housekeeping are doing a great job, the rooms are spotless and they refresh your room every single day.
What stood out was how friendly all members of staff were. I think the key reader for our room had no more battery (it just didn't want to work), but Sami from reception wasted no time, came to the room with me and helped me sort out the problem.
Elena was also very helpful and a joy to be around, she always shared a smile no matter how busy reception was.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely book this hotel again when we return to London.

We had a lovely warm welcome on arrival which was followed by an easy straight forward check in, even though we arrived early.
Our room was a twin room on the 7th floor, it was smallish but was sufficient, although slightly warm there was a fan provided, the noise from outside was to be expected being in a city, but wasn't too bad when the window was shut. The beds were extremely comfortable and cosy, the television in the room had streaming services, just remember your passwords to sign in, the signal sometimes was a little slow but was okay. There was a separate lift upto the 7th floor along with four others going to the 6th floor and a flight of stairs.
The bathroom had a large shower with toiletries and towels, which was spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was perfect! A selection of cerals including porridge, dried fruit and nuts, pasties, toast and jams. Also, ham, cheese and veggies, natural yogurt and fresh friut salad. A hot plate with a selection of full english breakfast was well replenished, freah and hot. Fruit juices, tea and coffee machine was available too.
I would definitely recommend The President and will visit again.

The hotel itself is very nice, clean and lovely staff. The room itself was a good size with a double bed, bedside table with usb ports by the bed, chair, tv, kettle, dressing table and mirror. The bathroom had a powerful shower, lots of towels, nice toilet and sink area, the toiletries were lovely.
There is great, strong wifi which is easy to connect to. The Christmas decorations were beautiful with a lovely Nativity Scene in the lounge area. The staff will look after your bags if you arrive before your room is ready so there's no need to lug your bags around London with you.
A great stay.
To keep this short and sweet-
1. In advance we received an email to advise ‘some maintenance work in corridors and bathrooms’ That’s not actually true as it appears there’s extensive work which impacts sleeping past 8am. The noise was unbearable and hugely impacted our stay and relaxing time away from home. The corridors do need updating however they also require a clean!
2. On arrival we were advised no hot water was available until 5pm. I believe hot water in a hotel is a fundamental part that of the service. This is not acceptable and should have been communicated in advance so an informed decision could be made about relocating to an alternative venue.
3. Staff generally would benefit from adequate training for the roles they are employed to complete. E.G a request for coffee sachets to the room, ensure the staff member delivering them can be pleasant, and not wearing air pods with music blasting. Maybe the talk line for the hotel should be more than ‘here’ and potentially ‘sorry for the inconvenience and here’s the coffee as requested’ E.G if the reception staff are required to ask if everything was ok during the stay train them to react when a guest says no!
In short, I shall never again stay at this hotel. There’s far better available in the city.
Very simple rooms, shower and sink separated from the toilet.
The sink is very small, water comes out when you wash. No complimentary toiletries, no brochures of London or hotel services. Typical English breakfast, no dessert.
Free water available to fill the water bottle.
Cost does not reflect quality.
"So comfortable and secure, easy access to buses, trains and subways. Great hospitality. Ask for Carolina if you need help in spanish. "Read full review
