Chic, calm very good service ! The bedroom are very stylish. The wood the velvet. You could be in a castle. I really recommand this hotel for a romantic getaway, but the neighbourhood is not the nicest in london.

Literally 2 minutes walk from Farringdon station you'll find this beautiful hotel. It is so quaint with so much character that it really doesn't belong near a busy train/tube station in London. We booked the superior double for £250. It isn't cheap and breakfast isn't included. We moved from the room we were given as I really didn't like it...

Super atmosphere fueled by classic furniture and decorations, perfect amenities and superb service from the very attentive personnel. Great location, very comfortable. Has very nice common area that can be used to work or socialize and also meeting rooms.

Have stayed here before so knew what to expect - beautiful rooms, a completely unique atmosphere, and luxury without pretentiousness. This time my girlfriend and I got engaged there - she loved it so much the first time around it was the perfect setting. The staff kept my ring in the safe until I needed it, and were very friendly...

My husband and I stayed at the Rookery over the Christmas week, in the Rook's Nest Suite. It was an amazing suite on two levels, and beautifully decorated! The staff was wonderful, and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. If you are looking for luxurious accommodations, a hotel that is totally unique with a decor...

I stayed here over New Year for my wife's 30th Birthday, and I really cannot recommend The Rookery Hotel enough. Firstly the hotel is excellently located. We took the Gatwich Express train (which take 30 mins) to London Victoria, and from there it's about 15 mins on the tube (with 1 line swap) to Farringdon station, which is 2 minutes...

We stayed one night in this gorgeous little hotel, but one night was definitely not long enough. The staff are all extremely nice and helpful, we were taken to our room - Susan Gilyard - and given a little bit of information on why the room was named after Susan. Our room was lovely, huge bed and spacious bathroom. The...

We stayed here over Christmas and it was an excellent stay. We stayed in the Joseph Smith room on the ground floor. The room was exquisitely furnished and was very large. The bathroom is actually located down a flight of stairs. This might be an issue for some but we found it very charming. The bathroom is large and the...

Nice hotel, I guess for London you have to pay these prices. Nothing about it really went the extra mile to make me give it 5 stars. Disappointed there is no tea or coffee making equipment, or even a free bottle water in the rooms, but they do find space to stuff a basket full of drinks/sweets that you can...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
