We came here for a black tie champagne dinner function organised by the Conferie du Sabre d'Or. The Coonaught's ballroom holds around 160 people and was an excellent venue for a medium sized group such as this. This is a beautiful Hotel and the venue, service, wine and food were excellent - a superb evening.

This is my second review of The Connaught, having visited it many times over the interim years. Following a bad stay a couple of years ago, where we were given a terrible room above the delivery bay, we received a lovely letter from the management saying that they would mark our file to make sure this never happened again. Since...

I have just spent 3 nights at The Connaught Hotel in London and cannot rave about it enough. The whole experience was exceptional and this hotel cannot put a foot wrong. From the beautiful decor in the rooms, to the flower arrangements on each floor, the best service, delicious food, central location, delightful and very helpful staff, groovy bars, swimming...

Beautiful and very convenient location. Excellent staff throughout the hotel friendly helpful and discreet. We were first given a newly refurbished room which resembles any modern hotel room, but changed for one of the traditional rooms. Perfect experience feels like being in a grand private home. We had diner at the French Restaurant which was probably On of the most...

Everything was totally first rate. You pay for what you get - and it is quite good at the Connaught. Our entire 4 night stay was full of great service examples - we need a specific piece of clothing ready in the AM but its nine at night - no problem. Can you find us a hard to find theater...

The Connaught is one of those places that exist in dreams. It could be Downton Abbey land. From the entrance with its top hatted porters to eh rooms and the eastijng and drinking one feels transported to another time and placer. My wife spent an afternoon sipping tea while writing letters beside a fireplace in a room off the lobby....

From the minute you arrive you know you're in a special place. Warm greetings and crisp check-in are followed up by smooth service and a lovely room ( ours on the Mount Street side). The concierge was terrific, the restaurants superb, and the bars legendary. Whiskey drinkers will be especially pleased at the offerings. My GF and I had a...

Spectacular service, absolutely gorgeous building and rooms. I loved the bathroom amenities and the way the rooms were outfitted. We had a great view out the front of the hotel to the square, and it felt urban and cosy all at once. We were jet lagged and stumbled downstairs, accidentally into the Michelin-star rated restaurant. We were underdressed and looked...

Service was off the chart, the staff could not have been more accommodating. Gracious and anxious to be helpful. We have stayed in several fine places, but this was top of the list. Nothing more to add that hasn't been posted by other satisfied customers. Expensive? yes, but if any experience was worth it, this is it. If tripadvisor ever...

I love this hotel. The welcome I have received on the tree occasions I have visited is truly special. The Connaught afternoon tea is wonderful - the portions are huge, the scones are amazing and it is worth ordering champagne to wash it all down. I really would find it hard to stay anywhere else. Nothing is too much trouble...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
