I just came back from a two-week stay at the Ridgemount and I could not be happier about the experience. My room was clean, comfortable and well-maintained, at a wonderful price for London, 48 pounds with shared bath, including breakfast. The owners were marvelously helpful...More
If you want a clean, safe, moderate, well run hotel in central London (ie 2 mins to Oxford Street by foot) then this is an excellent choice. This is one of the few British family-run hotels left in central London and it was a joy...More
Location is great but the rooms are tiny and the beds also tiny. We arrived mid morning after a 24 hour flight and would have loved to have been able to freshen up a little before check in time but had to leave baggage and...More
We stayed here for a week whilst sightseeing around London. Location was convenient and easily accessed by Subway and about a 10-15 minute walk. Good location for general London sightseeing. Room was charming and very comfortable. WIFI was excellent. Breakfast was a real strength for...More

London isn’t a car friendly city so if possible I would advise against driving into London as it is very expensive to park. Also there is a daily congestion charge (Monday-Friday) of £11.50 per day for driving in central London. . However if you need to drive you can park outside our hotel after 6:30pm until 8:30am. And all day on Sunday. Our nearest car parks are:

The royal national car park is closer and cheaper.

I don't live in London so I am no expert but here goes. From LGW use "Gatwick Express" into Victoria Station(30 mins)Then "Tube" to Warren Street and then 10min walk to hotel. Look at "Google" for Gatwick Express and London Underground. Hope this helps a little. We found the hotel extremely helpful in answering all sorts of questions. Whatever happens enjoy your trip to the UK.
