I had one wonderful night at the Langham with my partner and I have to rate it as my favourite hotel in London. The Grand Langham Room was large (not just by London standards) and with double doors to the bathroom and a large lobby area (accommodating the built in wardrobes) had an overall exceptionally spacious feel. The bathroom was...

Apart from me going down with the flu we all had a wonderful time. The staff are really great and appear happy in their work and well organised. This is exactly what to expect from a hotel of this quality. The building itself is quite old and each room has a copy of the hotels history, have a flick through...

Very centrally located - BBC building is on the opposite corner and Oxford Street only a few minutes walk. Very comfortable bed with great pillows and although it is in central London the hotel is actually in a fairly quiet position and there was no traffic noise in the bedroom. We had an inner room so that possibly also helped...

From the initial welcome to departure, and numerous visits to the brilliant bar, the service and staff were excellent. The bar had a great atmosphere, great choice of food and very entertaining cocktails. Room was fine but maybe lacked wow factor, though it had every facility. Bath maybe be too small if you are on the corpulent side, but I'm...

Spent a long time waiting for this special treat. How disappointing. The staff were very pleasent but the food was a huge disappointment. I expected something very special but sadly it was terrible the sandwiches were very basic and nothing I couldn't have done at home with more flare. The scones were delicious. The cakes looked very tacky with nasty...

This is a really great hotel with great service. We stayed one night and used our Avios points to pay for it. We were upgraded to a lovely room, everything was spotless with a really comfy kingsize bed and great feather pillows. We also had breakfast included in the Roux restaurant which was amazing! Overall a great stay and would...

The night away was a present given to us by our family. Such personal service. The staff knew it was our anniversary and in the room were flowers and a beautiful patisserie, along with a hand written card. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. We meant to ask what mattress topper and pillows were used...

I have read lots of reviews on here about feeling special and receiving wonderful service. Unfortunately this is not how we felt when we visited - in fact the word "Invisible" comes to mind. We booked for The Amour, a set of plays, which take place around rooms in the hotel. I particularly asked if the piece was disabled friendly,...

Dear sa1gon, Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry to read that you didn't experience the level of service you should have when you came for The Armour, a play set within The Langham. We do take the treatment of any disabled guest very seriously and on this occasion we let you down,...

I went with my friends because I've been participated in a familiarization tour. The experience was amazing, the hotel is located in a perfect area, near the main attractions and the subway. The price is compatible with the facilities and I think it's Worth visit! I travelled in August, 2005.

The room was the most quiet, sound protected room I have ever stayed in. Noteworthy was that the heat and the air conditioner/cooler made absolutely no sound, and there was not a peep coming from my neighbors next door. The service was also excellent, with smiles and cheerful hellos from every single employee. Also a great location for shopping and...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
