Have just returned from a fantastic break in the Indigo Hotel. It is a boutique hotel located on a quiet street between Tower Hill and Aldgate tube stations. It is also convenient to catching a bus to all parts of London. The hotel itself is small and friendly with approximately 47 bedrooms. Although we had bought a superior room break,...

An overnight stay and already booked the next one. Small, personal, boutique feel, great room with quasi 4 poster be and open brick wall, Grohe bAthroom with double sinks and lovely shower. Nice touch with free mini bar. No issues bar slightly noisy but it was a very hot evening and I had forgotten to close the interior double glazing,...

Just returned from a visit here, everything about was great. Fab location, free wifi, newspapers, sky sports AND mini bar. Very clean and modern and the staff were very helpful. If I wanted to stay near Tower Bridge again I'd certainly chose this hotel again.

Big, luxurious, comfortable room with free mini bar. After a short wait, they even let me check in early. Leant me an adapter, gave directions - just a great stay. Area is a tad quiet, but there are a few bars and restaurants open on weekends, like The Minories Pub, just a block away. And about a mile walk there...

After staying lot of times in the city west end we decided for a change of scene and reserved this east end hotel. We have stayed there for a week and loved the location closed to 3 tube stations and in walking distance for all major trendy east and south London attractions. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the hotel...

Dear Guest, I guess it really depends on your main objective for visiting London but whatever it is, Indigo gets appreciated for almost the same (3) three things: its rooms, the amenities offered and its staff. You said it too. Thanks!

Loved this hotel. I normally stay at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury when in London but thought I would try something different. Not only is this place slightly cheaper its also vastly superior. The staff were really friendly and the room was nothing short of brilliant. OK, so there is no view but the decor and standards were very good. From...

Dear Guest, Nice of you to point out that not only are we different but cheaper and “vastly superior” as well. Had you informed us, we could have done something about the bed vis-a-vis T.V. position. Maybe the next time you come?

London is very expensive by Canadian standards, so I was a bit worried about finding a good hotel for a reasonable amount of money - the Indigo Tower Hill turned out to be a wonderful find. It's a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. We had two rooms (305 and 405), which were larger than we expected (likely due...

We enjoyed our stay at this small boutique hotel near the Tower of London and the City of London where my husband had business. We could walk to Liverpool Street Railway Station which was perfect and walk to the Underground. The price was very reasonable for London.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
