Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.

First visit to this new hotel and it was so cheap we were a bit anxious. No need! Spotless, clean, friendly staff and great room. We slept so well. Tube round the corner, cannot be more convenient. Book a room here, you won’t complain!

I've already answered. But I've just thought, I've no idea which 'London' airport you are landing in. So Heathrow, The hotel I stayed in last weekend is on the other side of London, so the taxi fare would be higher than the room. Google Travelodge and find one near the airport. And Google maps is very good at if you enter a destination from the airport, it will give you accurate routes, transport, times.

Does hotel have a luggage store for our last day as train not until later ? And do rooms have a hairdryer ?
Yes, you can leave stuff at a Travelodge for free, as you go and explore. My room had a hairdryer. As somebody else said, an iron and small ironing board. Also free chocolate bars. Bring your own hair shampoo and conditioner if that matters. The shower has a device that gives out a sort of soap shampoo for all of your body.
