Excellent stay at Novotel Canary Wharf as per usual. Stayed with my wife for a short break in the city and of course to have the opportunity to try Bokan's new taster menu. The service was excellent across all departments of the hotel but in particular wanted to thank Nicolas and Thierryny (the Bokan team) for their excellent service

The room and facilities were fantastic. The service was very good on the whole but a couple of times staff were unhelpful when it wasn’t their job. I would stay again as it didn’t dampen the experience as a whole and some of the staff were superb!

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Unfortunately we couldn't get an upgrade as they were fully booked but we were placed on the 33rd floor and had a lovely view over London. The rooftop bar is fabulous and we fully enjoyed the free wine from my drinks vouchers.

Great location & views! Especially at breakfast & over cocktails. We had a junior suite (on the 7th floor, check when choosing your room as it gives you the info but we missed it) but we still had a good view & we were staying 2 nights so it was more important for us to have more space and comfy area to lounge!

For some reason the hotel rang me at 3 in the afternoon to see if I was still coming? Since the room was booked and payed for why wouldn't I be? Anyway..... Check in was easy and straightforward but once we entered our room we found that our lights wouldn't work. We were so soaked from the rain in a room with no electricity. We phoned reception as we were on the 34th floor wanted to avoid going all the way down plus we were pushed for time as we had been travelling all day and needed to get changed and out to make it to a show on time. Reception never answered for about 20 minutes while we got dressed in the dark. On our way out we explained to reception that our lights were not working and the employee ensured us that it would be sorted straight away. His attitude didn't strike me with confidence but we took his word for it as we really needed to leave so trusted that it would be fixed for our return. Later that night we returned late and there was a new member of staff on the front desk. I thought it would be best to ask if our lights had been sorted and he ensured us that they would have been since we raised the issue with another member of staff. Upon entering the room we found that the lights still didn't work so we rang reception and he came up and fixed the issue. It didn't take him long and to be fair he was helpful but not what's needed at almost midnight after a long day travelling. So this was our first impressions of the hotel, unreliable service, customer satisfaction, maintenance issues? Not tge best start to our stay. Couldn't tell at first (because the room was in darkness) but the room was in fact clean and tidy with good views of the city . The hotel is well presented with a modern feel. We stayed for two nights over the marathon weekend. The location was ideal been equally accessible to the start as well as the finish. Breakfast could have been nice had it not been for all the hot fried items not staying warm in the serving dishes making everything cold before you even took a bite. Shame since everything seemed of a good quality but ruined by been cold. Choice wise there was porridge made to order on the morning of the marathon which was delightful but the following morning the cook refused to prep some for us which was a bit disappointing. It might not sound like much but it's small issues that let down a potentially fantastic hotel but the weekend in London was fantastic.
