Stayed here every year for guys weekend in london. Price and location great, clean rooms and beds are comfy. Just wouldn't recommend the breakfast. The orange and lemon drinks don't taste of anything and the food was a bit tough.

Firstly, the location is unbelievable, 2 mins walk from St Pauls Cathedral, close to the Thames and loads of other attractions. Good area by night, 'normal' pub down the road (Ye Olde London) many restaurants etc, not mega busy like many other areas. We have stayed in a number of YHA's so we had an idea of what to expect,...

The location if the place is hard to beat, being so close to St Johns cathedral, which makes reaching the hostel via tube or bus super simple. Spacious lockers in the rooms make safe storage easy as can be, and all showers and bathrooms are always clean. Staff is friendly, food is decent, all in all enjoyable for students or...

Once again, location wise you couldn't want for better. Don't bother bringing an alarm clock as the bells of St Paul's Cathedral ring on the hour every hour and you always know what time it is. Friendly and helpful reception staff who don't forget have probably said the same thing to a hundred visitors before you. For affordability you cannot...

Stayed there midweek for a few nights, was absolutely lovely! Staff was great and super helpful, always a smile and could recommend great places to eat and drink. Stayed in the 8 bed room, lockers provided are big and can fit a suitcase which was great. Beds are clean and cosy, the room was always nice and warm even tough...

great location great food friendly staff. right next to St. Pauls. Remarkable value. However if you are a light sleeper like me and you always seem to get a snorer in your bunk you will feel like doing a Sweeney Todd on them. I always seem to get someone who stores like a pig stuck in a gate. Also being...

This is an older hostel so dormitories tend to be larger with separate toilets and showers. There are a lot of floors and stairs and no lifts. But luggage can be stored in the basement just one flight of stairs down. A good cafe serving snacks and meals. I had a single room that was excellent value for money. Staff...

I stayed in this hostel for three nights in December 2016. The constant going in and out in a 8-bed-dorm sometimes made it hard to sleep but that was expected. The staff has always been friendly and helpful even while checking out in the middle of the night. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The proximity to an underground station and...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
