We had a superb meal 8.30 Friday night. Quick service & excellent home cooked food. The chicken pie was probably the best I've ever had. Solid meat, thick sauce & very well seasoned. Dry crisp chips & perfectly cooked kale. My friends burger was fine but a bit ordinary. Very good interesting house wine - well worth a try. I'll... More

Incredible menu, full of great ingredients and imaginative twists, with a brilliantly chosen wine list; the kindest and most attentive service you could imagine (thank you SO much Ruari!) and desserts to die for (Chocolate Fondant is mandatory). Great atmosphere, music just the right volume (not loud) and even nice pristine, linen napkins. 5 stars- we will come back for... More

Had a great refurb, it feels really open. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the beer and wine selection is great! Not overly keen on the new layout outside and the heaters are too high to actually keep you warm!

Pub review - Delicious, creative menus - beautifully prepared and presented food. We had the lovage soup, the chicken and the skirt steak. Cannot fault the quality and flavour of the food - didn't want the meal to end. I've no idea what devilled butter is but I'd like to bathe it in. Atmosphere was lovely - you can have... More

The Victoria Inn is a recent addition to Peckham’s burgeoning hipster scene around Bellenden Road and Choumert Road; an old pub nicely refurbished and staffed to make it look like other refurbished pubs in the area, plus artworks that reflected Peckham’s history and culture. The first of many waiting staff told us about the beautiful scallops, while the second one... More

Funky rooms above a top notch pub in the burgeoning republic of Peckham. Long departed are the memories of Del & Rodney as this place oozes class and hipster cool. The rooms are well appointed, tastefully modern with great views back towards the Shard & The City if you've one of the top floor ones facing North. The pub below... More

We visited on a Sunday evening for something to eat. The pub has recently been refurbished and was quite busy, but we were seated quickly. Very helpful and friendly staff. The Sunday menu had a good choice including roasts. We chose roast chicken, roast beef, vegetarian roast and pork belly. All were served promptly and hot. Really good meals and... More

My husband and I stayed at The Victoria for 8 nights over a two week period as we were visiting our daughter who lives in Peckham. We arrived the afternoon that the Victoria were reopening after a three week refurbishment. Even though the staff were frantically cleaning and racing around finalising last minute preparations for the Grand Reopening, we were... More

A convenient place to get too, not too expensive, fantastic staff (Thank you Victoria and both the women serving breakfast when nothing was too much trouble), comfortable rooms newly refurbished and very smart...wonderful expresso machine - in the room!. The best part was the free weekend car park close by. We stayed Saturday night and could bus into the centre... More

Lovely pub which apparently has just been refurbished. Busy, buzzy atmosphere but a little chaotic. Friendly bar staff & beautifully chilled Sauvignon. Fantastic food. Charcuterie board to share for starters. Amazing cured meat & sourdough bread. Roast beef was pink, tender & flavoursome. Plate was well presented & not overloaded with food as most roast lunches are. Served with kale,... More
