Our stay was part of a National Holidays excursion to Liverpool Location is right in the heart of the city. Our room was worn but clean. (Room 542) All the staff we dealt with were polite and professional. Meals were very good considering the volume of people in the restaurant at both breakfast and dinner. Cannot understand all the bad...

The Adelphi is right in the heart of the city and its public rooms are very grand. However, the room we stayed in on the sixth floor was basic and not particularly clean. The lighting was just two table lamps so it was rather dark in our room, otherwise the room and en suite was ok. The food was fine....

Call in, have a look, but don't stay unless you like poorly maintained, scruffy rooms and eating works canteen style. Good points - ample instant hot water, helpful staff (not reception), comfortable beds and food tasty but buffet constantly running out and often long wait to be replenished. It is well situated within walking distance of the shops and tourist...

i remember this hotel from when I was a child in Liverpool. In the fifties and sixties it was the place where the stars stayed. I went on a coach trip from Norfolk to see how this once grand building had fared. Still lots of lovely old features in both public areas and bedrooms but the standard of house keeping...

Went on a National Holiday. Hotel is rather dated, but comfortable, clean, staff friendly and helpful, and lounge is magnificent. My room was next to the lifts, which was a bit disconcerting, but just left a radio on all night to mask the noise, and slept OK. Meal times were a bit restrictive, but that was part of a very...

Visited as part of a national holidays group. Check in was quick and easy and assigned a room on the second floor. Bit of a shock when I entered the room the separate bathroom looked like a something from a 1950s asylum!! The bedroom was huge with a defined sitting area. Everything looked a bit tatty and grim but bed...

The hotel is very old and neglected , however it has a very unique features as you can literally feel as if it was 100 years back in time , when people used to stay there before travelling to USA. Could do with better cleaning as well as there was lots of dust everywhere also quite noisy as there is...

We accepted a special offer from Groupon. This was Liverpool's top hotel in the past and we looked forward to our stay. Public areas in this hotel were old world and pleasant. Our well cleaned rooms were spacious (40+ sq M) and warm, but heating could not be controlled by guests. Windows were rusty and difficult to open and a...

Stayed 1 night at the Adelphi last Saturday room (146) was very big in need of modernisation I guess but that didn't bother me. The price was great £44 check in fast and friendly room clean. The Adelphi is a massive place with spas and a few bars didn't go in any as was late but they looked and sounded...
