This hotel has been on my bucket list for a long time because a relative worked here in its glory days. I was bringing a friend who wanted to sightsee, We were attending a family event. I knew it had had investment-related problems for years, but faded grandeur appeals to me. On reading many of the reviews (after booking) I...

I don't recommended this hotel to anyone wanting to spend a few days in Liverpool. We only booked this hotel because we were attending interviews in there. Even the interviews moved to a different hotel because there room was so bad. The hotel room carpet had rips all over it, the place was dirty, floor hadn't been hoovered. Paint was...

Booked in for a nights stay, having an audition the next day. The room was small, dirty, smelly and VERY OLD FASHIONED!!! The soap holder and TV were hanging off the wall and there was no proper window in the room, meaning no natural light at all. Staff at reception made the very simple situation of the car park into...

We booked for 31 members of our family to dine at Cromptons restaurant in the Adelphi hotel to celebrate our parents golden wedding anniversary. The table was beautifully presented and the food was amazing. Despite the large number of people in our party the food was served very quickly and was piping hot. Portion sizes were very generous and the...

One word to describe my experience: horrific. We arrived at 8pm on Friday and already there were people staggering out of the hotel, drunk out of their minds. When taken to our room we were no further impressed. Inside the drawers was rubbish, black grime all around the shower and the doors and walls all had cracks in. My partner...

Place really needs a huge redecorate - has seen better times ! Great location albeit drink far too expensive so go to Lanigans which is 200 yards down the road on the right. The staff do their best but we had to be moved twice due to lack of running water and lack of heating.

Having booked tickets for a show for Christmas we decided to make a weekend of it and stay over in Liverpool. Searched hotels and loved the look of this! Avoid avoid avoid! The hotel is very out dated. We were appalled at the state of our room on arrival with the bathroom and bedroom area! Trying not to let it...

Stayed for one night and was incredible value. Clearly The Adelphi was a magnificent Hotel and to some extent , still is but is so much in need of a cash injection and makeover. That said the entrance and lounge area are still quite grand but there is a strong smell of cigarettes wherever you go and generally faded splendour...
