We made a last minute booking at The Poplars last night whilst attending a comedy event for my partner’s birthday. The owner Martin could not have been more helpful from the outset with directions etc. My geography is terrible but we got there eventually! The driveway is

Hi Geoffrey, thanks for you stay, you don't have to be fit just not unfit. The room as explained when you checked in was not the budget shared bathroom room that you had paid for but a larger en-suite with your own private facilities with views over the city. The reason being we were awaiting new Axminster carpet to go over the acoustic 15mm flooring. Hopefully you will be able to revisit your review and nudge up to our average a 4 star / many thanks hope to see you again

There is off street parking available, but be warned it is a little difficult. Good accommodation, highly recommend.
