Live locally & decided to try Sunday lunch here after spending more time in the pub/restaurant across the road. Will stick to there. Spent 20 mins in and off on phone trying to book a table for Sunday lunch; despite answer message no one answered. Called in therefore to book table. Bloke behind bar told us we'd prob get a...

Actually, the food was very good. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the bar area was busy with 'Sunday lunchers'. We had booked a table in the restaurant for an evening meal and were shown to an attractive dining area on a lower level and well away from the bar area. My veggie burger was lovely, triple cooked skinny...

Technically a B & B but it feels like a small hotel. Rooms were comfortable, nothing fancy. We could make coffee and tea in our room before going down to the breakfast buffet in the restaurant. The sheep nearby woke us up the first morning but we thought that was charming! There is wifi readily available! We'll stay here again....

Visited the field head hotel for a meal on returning from shopping in Leicester. This is something we have done before when we are returning from the odd shopping trip into the city. Great to see that money has been spent on a refurb which looked lovely, I really liked the 'lighting' they've done... Extremely sad however, to see that...

We stayed here en route the parents' for Christmas break. Check in really easy and the staff made us feel very welcome. We visited friends on the evening, so didn't eat here, but the restaurant was full and had a lovely atmosphere. As we ate in the bar for breakfast (which was delicious), it meant we could have the dog...

Absolutely awful food presented to us. We weren't expecting much - just a quick bite - but our 'sandwiches' arrived and had a couple of nuked fritters on them where fish should have been. We sent them back and got fish portion slapped on a slice of bread - they'd even removed the garnish which made it look worse than...

So sorry to say that this was awful, with few redeeming qualities. Went for a drink on New Year's Eve and had a lovely time, so decided to go to eat. One Main course was literally dumped on the table, prior to any starters being served, with the words "there are other things coming" from the waiter as he walked...

Very well kept Hotel with friendly staff. The choice of food and the quality was excellent nothing to much bother for the staff. Our room was a superior very comfortable and spacious ideal for the Christmas break. Will definitely use again a good advert for Old English Inns.
