I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate diwali. It is out of the town but buses 31 and 31A from the station will take you there in about 10 minutes.I found it to be clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and friendly.I would stay here again without any hesitation.Maybe i was lucky with the room but the place seemed... After reading some poor reviews we approached the Regency with some trepidation, we needn't have worried, OK, it's a little faded but that lends itself to the Victorian charm. The location was good, a short bus ride to the City Centre, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the TV wasn't working but was quickly fixed. The room was warm, comfortable... More

The Regency is a nice 25 min walk from the city centre. You get what you pay for- remember to ask if breakfast is included. Our was not. The breakfast although was nice and prepared freshly on order. I would propably return if I was to stay in Leicester again. It's not a bad hotel, it just have low standards.

This hotel was the worst place I have ever stayed in! First impressions were not good and after being asked to pay full payment for the room before even seeing the room things began to get worse. On seeing the room, we found it to be dirty, stained carpet and settee, cracked and stained bath, dirty towels, complete with poo!... More

Checked in ok - the chap on reception was 'training' a new employee who was very nice and offered to show me to my room and carry some of my luggage. My room was like a tarts boudoir! Pink and black flocked paper and very badly fitted pink and black curtains - I had a lovely brown stain on the... More

The Hotel is dated but very clean. We stayed in one of the superior rooms which was very nice although dated. There is a lot of ornate features and so very different from the Premier Inns we have normally visited. We noted on the front of the door there was a "no smoking sign" - however the room smelt of... After looking at some of the other reviews, I was quite concerned about my booking here. I needn't have worried! It has some idiosyncrasies but this is a good hotel in grand victorian building. The furnishings are a little tired here and there, but my room was comfortable and clean. I got a good nights sleep despite being at the... More

I stayed here overnight in a single room before an exam resit at the local University. Staff were really friendly and got me straight up to my room, were quick to note that the bar would be open til late. The room was fine and pretty clean, a kettle was provided with some sachets of hot chocolate, tea and the... More

I stayed here for four nights over two weeks Whilst working in the city centre. It cost me far more than the price of the room. I noticed a few mosquito type bites whilst working but thought nothing of it. What I did not realise was that they were bed bug bites. Fortunately I obviously don't react as badly as... More
