My wife and I stopped here for a weekend with friends. This is not a four star hotel and doesn't pretend to be. It's just a good honest value for money hotel with excellent friendly helpful staff. Parking is a bit of an issue but there is a carpark about 300 metres up the road. A weekends parking could cost... More

this hotel is really bad, its dirty needs a full refurb from top to bottom. our room was really small that wasnt the problem, you only need it to sleep in, but the bathroom was so small when you sit on the toilet your knee touches the side of the shower the panel on the side,it was loose so it... We cannot fault the pleasantness of staff or the closeness of the hotel to the town but beyond that this is a very low standard of accommodation. We were presented with a third floor room along a narrow corridor with glasses left on the floor outside other rooms. The room was compact with three very uncomfortable (soft depressed mattresses) beds... More

October half term week we travelled up from Cornwall, 2 coach loads of us, the hotel is very well situated to access the shopping centre and sea front. It is situated just behind the Winter Gardens. Check in was quick, the staff were all lovely. Breakfast was good, delicious bacon, sausage not so delicious, plenty of it. Evening meal wasn't... More

Rooms were clean and tidy, let down by the shoddy wardrobe as the doors did not fit well, this is a minor thing. The food was of exceptional quality, had all meals there with the exception of the compulsory trip to the local chippy on the prom.

We stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of last weekend, we were on an organised trip with our local coach company. They had not used this hotel before and I don't think anyone can have done a recee before our stay. The hotel was tired and past it's best, the rooms were dated and ours had many things... More

My husband and I have just returned from A National Holiday trip to Blackpool and we stayed at The Melville. Having been on National Holidays before we were expecting the hotel to be good so we have been very disappointed with the standard this time. First of all there are some positives-the location can't be beaten-2 minutes walk from the... More

Went on Weds 26th until Fri 28th Oct for Illuminations. Paid £89 for 2 nights including breakfast. They knew it was me & my 10 year old, we were put in room 28. Beds were clean but when I sat down on my double mattress it had seen better days as I sank down so much & I weigh less... More

I have contacted the hotel but they have not responded, and so I need to put up a message to warn guests. I will of course remove it when they advice all is clear. I stayed there last week and I have now over 100 bites on my body. I have advised them the room I was staying in. I... More

I stayed with a group on a weekend convention. The food was extremely good, the staff were also very helpful. The bar and lounge were quite adequate for our convention. The main problem was the outside noise of drunks shouting in the wee hours which was not the hotel's fault at all, but Blackpool's. However, the walls were too thin... More
