Still In The dark ages and kitch. Dirty and run down. Rather eat out if you have to stay as the food was home cooking at its worse. Bedrooms very old fashioned with curtains falling off the hooks. Mattress was comfortable but bedding very old. Plumbing will wake you up as it reverberates through the building.

We read the reviews just before we went and had the worst pictured. However, we were pleasantly surprised. For £45 per night for two people with full breakfast, three course dinner and a bottle of wine I don't think you can complain. It is what it is - a cheap seaside b&b that is comfortable and very friendly. Yes the...

We purchased a voucher that got us a room for 2 with a 3 course dinner, wine and breakfast. It was an incredible deal so for that, a lot of the quirks of Alfies were not a problem. Our room was bright and cheerful, with a nice tv, a lot of storage and a small bathroom that did the job....

5 minutes from the pleasure beach and this is the original crooked/crazy house, two staircases, floors that make you feel you are at sea, clean sheets, clean room, large room, no heating (broken so old oil heater provided with controls missing), office style ceilings and lighting, ensuite shower and loo with four bathroom cabinets, a loo roll holder that falls...

Supposed to stay for 2 nights but we left after the first! Staff wasn't very informative or friendly. The room was awful! There was stains all over the blinds, chips and marks all over the mugs, lipstick marks on the cups, hairs all over the floor and bed, half working tv! We paid for 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners for...
