Yet another great stay this year for my birthday long weekend. Jackie is a great host, and her rooms are fab, and as for the breakfast, where does she get that bacon, omg, it's sooo delicious! The superior room has a lovely sitting area where it is nice to curl up on the sofa and watch TV when you get...

We stayed at Ravenscroft in the Superior Room in between Christmas and the New Year and had a fantastic time! The room is very spacious and clean and the en-suite is also spacious. Jackie is very welcoming and friendly and cooks a lovely breakfast. Breakfast is served in the lounge in front of a lovely fire. Ravenscroft is situated about...

I have stayed in many guesthouses up and down the country but this one was by far the best , Jackie and Steve made us feel at home the minute we walked through the door . It instantly feels like a home , warm and very inviting , particularly the pot of tea and biscuits on arrival in front of...

Having not stayed in a B & B for nearly 15 years, I was concerned that I would miss not staying in a hotel and therefore not enjoy my weekend away. I dont know why I was worried as the Ravenscroft is a fantastic place. We would never have got such a warm welcome in a hotel! Or, come to...

We chose Ravenscroft as the reviews were good and it was central to where we wanted to explore. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Jackie & a superb room with little touches which made it quaint but also quality with bedding like you were in a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was a thing to behold - so much choice...

We are a couple (age 28 and 42) and booked a 2 night stay for my Birthday. The couple who own Ravenscroft (and also have a very good Deli in the village of Bowness) were kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area but not at all pushy or 'in your face'. If parking is not available at the back...

The location was excellent easy walking distance between Windermere and Bowness. Good off street parking. Very spaceous, well decorated and clean rooms. The en-suite shower was big enough to have a party in. When it comes to the breakfast there was excellent choice and well presented. When it came to Jackie and Steve you could not have asked for a...
