We had a lovely weekend here last month and stayed in room 3, with the four poster bed. The room was spotless with plenty of space and the bed was really comfy! Wayne and Alison made us very welcome and the breakfast was fab. We can't wait to return and look forward to that four poster!!!

Alyson and Wayne made us extremely welcome to their home where we stayed for four nights at this beautiful Lake-land house. We slept in an enormous four poster on crispy clean linen after relaxing on our own settee catching up with the latest Olympic report on the TV. This has to compare with some of the best hotels that we...

We stayed at the top of the B&B in room 4. Brilliant. Good food and excellent choice at breakfast, comfy rooms, friendly and welcoming hosts, what more could you want. Also excellent location for walking in to Windermere Village or Bowness-on-Windermere.

Where do you begin with the accolades for Laurel Cottage as there are so many! The check in was a warm welcome from Wayne and information on everything you can think of. The rooms are beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Bathroom is modern and a good size, complimentary toiletries are lovely and great to be using a local company that...

Our stay of 4 nights at Laurel cottage was a memorable one due to the warm hospitality of both Alison & Wayne......they were always very helpful. There was always a nice selection of breakfast with home made food. The rooms were clean and comfortable with all amenities. We would highly recommend anytime to all our family and friends.

My partner and I stayed at the Laurel cottage B&B for 4 nights in July. It's in a very good location overlooking parkland with plenty of on street parking directly infront of the property. The owners Wayne and Alison couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, with excellent knowledge of the area and restaurants and also which direction to go...

We stayed here in July 2012 and couldn't fault this B&B. We had the room with the 4 poster bed which was very comfortable. Wayne's cooking skills for the breakfasts were great and we would highly recommend their specials. A truely warm welcome and comfortable stay.

Stayed here for one night to surprise my friend who was getting engaged. The room was lovely and wish we had stayed for two nights. We got a taxi to where the restaurants and my friend was which cost £6 although it could have been walked (not in heels though!). Easy to park outside. Will be staying here next time...

Very central & ideal for a short break, room could have used a full length mirror & the advertised luxury complimentary soap was very basic but overall brilliant stay

From making the initial booking, to leaving, nothing was too much trouble for Wayne & Alison, they helped with champagne, taxis and even gave us the use of their laptop when we needed to access the internet during the recent Great North Swim weekend - The room we were in was a great size for our family of three and...
