We stayed in the large room for 3 nights. It was beautifully laid out, with nice finishing touches, very clean throughout and the bed was an absolute dream! Good size bathroom, great shower and the room and hotel was always nice and warm. Also super quiet. Breakfast was fantastic, Rich ensured the breakfast room was never too busy due to covid restrictions, and was always extremely hospitable and knowledgable about the area. Easy walk to the nearby shops and restaurants, as well as lots of info on walks nearby. Look forward to staying again in the future!

We stayed for 4 nights in Oct and booked 3 rooms at St Johns lodge, All 3 rooms were beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable to sleep in and toasty warm for after a long walk. Rich and his team made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast choices were fab and able to cope well with those in the group that were veggie or vegan and all freshly cooked. Easily the most delicious scrambled eggs I’ve ever eaten, and you could have your eggs with full English, avocado, bacon, spinach or smoked salmon - whatever took your fancy! The hotel is perfectly located between Windermere village and Bowness village just a few minutes walk to either for access to all their shops, pubs,restaurants and of course the Lake. Lovely walks straight out from the hotel or a short drive away. Plenty of parking at or opposite the hotel. And a garden area with seating for guests. All Covid precautions in place and to enable staggered breakfast times to keep social distancing in place we pre ordered our hot breakfast choices the night before and selected a breakfast slot. We visit the Lakes annually and will definitely be back at St Johns Lodge.…

We stayed here just before they went into tier 3 Rich and the team did a great job to make our stay enjoyable and the breakfast was brilliant,the rooms were very clean and had a good shower,cosy rooms with good heating and easy car parking .Thank you for a great few days Happy New Year All the best Pete & Donna

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights, we have a great time and would recommend to anyone. Rich and the team is excellent and personable, when we arrived they explained the layout of the town and suggested places to see and where to eat. We tried a different breakfast option every day and everything was delicious! The lodge is located between Windermere and Bowness, making it great to access both towns.

Loved how personal it our stay was and how we were shown all the best local places to visit. Very clean and all Covid rules followed.
