Spent a weekend at the Ivythwaite lodge, the hosts were friendly & knowledgeable about the area. Location was perfect between the lake & the town with a short walk to either. Will definitely stay here again.

Visited for my birthday, given a double room with a four poster bed and ensuite. Clean and nicely decorated. Guest house itself is a short walk to both Windermere village and also towards Bowness and Lake Windermere. Breakfast was picked the night before and very nice, would recommend.

Mick and Wendy were personable and fantastic hosts, the choice for breakfast was far better than all the other guest houses we looked at and was the most reasonable for price. I couldn't recommend a better place to stay with the added bonus of the spa bath which is perfect for warming up, after a day exploring the lakes.

We visited for my girlfriends birthday, the house was nicely decorated and well situated just outside of the town centre. A short walk and you are at the "shops". We where in room 1 which had a four poster bed and a spa bath! The bed was very comfortable and large enough to spread out. The shower was good and...

Stayed in the attic room for two nights and couldn't fault the place. We arrived later than expected on the Friday night due to traffic but Mick was more than welcoming, showing us to our room and recommending a local pub for a late night bite (The Brookside). The bed was very comfy and the room was absolutely delightful with...

Ideal location, clean and tidy but in need of some redecoration, Disappointed with the breakfast offer with it being mainly fried food unless you want continental. Staff really friendly. Car park is hidden away down the side road between the lodge and the back of he church - be careful not to miss it.

Loved our 2 night stay here, and its location was ideal for us! We booked a room with a 4 poster bed, which was wonderfully comfy! The room was a great size with everything we needed including free wifi, which is always a bonus! The bathroom was en suite, with a fab spa bath which we used after spending the...

We had a 2 night stay at Ivythwaite Lodge whilst taking a short break in The Lakes. This is a great B&B, really friendly hosts, a great welcome, really comfortable bed and a fantastic full English breakfast. Within easy walking distance of the centre of Windermere and well away from the horror of Bowness! We'll certainly be using this establishment...
