I cannot comment on the food or accommodation. Popped in for a swift pint. I was the only person at the bar and waited over five minutes before someone appeared to serve me. When he appeared he was friendly enough. If you're going to stay here be warned that parking could be an issue, with only about 5 or 6...

Stayed here for 2 nights with friends 5&6th April and had a great time. The location was fab and parking on site was so convenient. We just left the car keys for the staff to shuffle the car round as required and forgot about it until we came to leave. The rooms are on the small side but very clean...

We just stayed one night at the Royal Oak hotel. The Location is fantastic, right in the heart of bowness. I had mixed grill for my evening meal which was very nice and well worth the bargain price of about £15. Drinks are a bit pricey, but most pubs are nowadays. Our room was very tidy, warm and had enough...

On arrival we found it impossible to park, which is understandable becuase Windermere is a busy town. On the royal oaks website it says they have parking... We went in to enquire where we could park... The rude lady behind the bar said we could park in the one space they had left.. Which was in front of 6 other...
