We only stayed here for 1 night while visiting family, so we only spent a short time in the room and had breakfast in the morning. We had a drink in the bar which is lovely and if I lived in the village I’m sure I would be a regular. The breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. The...

Stopped here for weekend and found the manager very welcoming and asked us throughout the stay if everything ok. The rooms had everything you need and clean. The bathroom was spot on clean and good shower. The beer was spot on in the bar and the food was amazing home cooked. The breakfast was amazing best ive had cooked to...

We stayed here for 2 nights in March. Our room was adequate, bed comfortable and decent size tv on the wall. Everywhere was clean. There is a pub downstairs, and breakfast is served in a separate room. The cooked breakfast was really good on both mornings. The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Bowness, a short walk from...

I am going to begin with the negatives as they far outweigh the positives.Myself and my husband booked into this bed and breakfast for 3 nights over this last weekend .We were disgusted and sickened to find extremely stained pillows ..no pillow protectors on .Luckily we had brought our own pillows with us .Even with our own pillows we still...

My husband and I stayed here in August this year - 2016, for a breakaway weekend. We arrived really early for check in and parked the car in the (very steep) car park. We went in inside to inform the staff that we had arrived and would check in later, as we realised that it was far too early. Whilst...

Read previous reviews as have 2 dogs. A wee bit off Main Street but worth the visit. Very dog friendly. Food enjoyable and a varied menu. Spoiled for choice- staff helpful and pleasant. Roaring real fire - fab. What more can be asked for on an autumn day

I enjoyed my en suite room with a view of the town and a glimpse of the lake. It was serviced well, and staff was very nice and showed personal interest. Breakfast is at tourist time (08.30 - 10:00), which I really liked. There is wifi in public areas, but not in your room. And you get 10% off any...

We stayed for one night, the rooms were small however spotlessly clean and modern. The staff were very friendly, good location right by the main shops and lake windermere. Breakfast was really nice, cereal and yoghurts available plus cooked breakfast of your choice. The tables were very compact and close together at breakfast time but for the price you can't...

We stayed over night for a Wedding. When we arrived the staff where friendly and very helpful, we where taken straight to our room, which was comfy and homely. As the weather was horrendous, we decided to stay in and order from their menu. Now I love sausage and mash but their ‘Trio of Cumberland Sausages’ was delicious, a very...
