My finance surprised me with a trip to Windermere & a stay at rum doodle. What a lovely place, very unique & warm/friendly. We loved the unusual decor & our room was fabulous. All very clean & tidy with a beautiful delicious home cooked breakfast each day. Highly recommended especially if you are after a more personal B&B. Louise &...

Picked the hotel as I loved the name. I'm glad I chose it as we had a wonderful stay. Met on arrival by Emma who offered coffee/tea and a gorgeous carrot cake. Rooms comfy with tea trolley. Breakfast choice good and very tasty. Will not hesitate to recommend hotel to family and friends.

Had a lovely 2 night stay in this family B&B, you were made to feel so welcome the moment you walked in, tea and cake on arrival, very friendly staff, and the luxury toiletries in the bathroom were top notch! Would recommend the 4 poster room as the bed was so comfortable, breakfast was very tasty, they thought of all...

Really enjoyed the room especially the superior four poster bed. Very close to the town. Which was great, would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back to enjoy again. Also went for the super moon which we didn't really get to see but overall great town and a very nice bed and breakfast.

What can I say that doesn't just echo the glowing praise of others. Nothing new. We had room Binder (from the Rum Doodle book) ground floor near the kitchen and breakfast room. Very quiet and comfortable (till breakfast time of course, when we wanted to be up anyway). Emma was so helful with restaurants and places to go and her...

Great room (in the attic with a free standing bath), such dedication to all the small detail makes this a truly lovely experience and welcomed with coffee and home made cake in the dining room is a...

We stayed on a Sun-Tues at end of season and were very pleased with our visit. Firstly, we were provided an upgrade to Room 6 - Shute which exceeded expectations with a great bed, much needed after some hard days walking. Breakfast in the room each morning was just what was needed with various different options and fresh juices/hot drinks....

Myself and my partner are one for something a little different and we're a fan of quirky hotels and BnBs. Emma wasn't in when we arrived, but had kindly notified us the previous night to let us know and that the housekeeper would greet us. We were greeted with carrot cake and a pot of tea! The theme of the...

The room was large and super comfy, the view from my room lovely, the breakfast excellent, the hosts friendly and offering of great walking advice. But...

My fiancé and I stayed at this lovely hotel for a week. The breakfast at the hotel was gorgeous! The lady that runs the hotel and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was really clean and the bed was really comfy. The location was also great as it is really close to Windermere town centre. Thank to...
