Excellent place. Good service, terrific atmosphere, polite and helpful staff. Think I have forgotten something. Oh, yes, the food . . . excellent. Best fillet steak I have tasted for a long time. Lovely meal. If ever in the area again, I would definitely come back here. Be sure to book. Only came here for a meal so cannot comment...

We dined at the wild boar for an evening meal/birthday celebration, we enjoyed 4 courses of delicious food including great pork scratching's and pigs in blankets and smoked fillet steaks...however this delicious meal was all let down by a lack of communication by staff, i had called earlier in the day as it was one of our friends birthdays to...

Visited the Wild Boar on a Wednesday evening in April having driven past it the previous day on the way to our hotel. We thought it looked like a place with a warm atmospheric feel, perfect for a cozy night, and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed pre dinner drinks in the comfort of the real fire heated bar area...

The rooms are always clean and well decorated and the food is to die for. The Bar and lounge area is cosy and warm and the staff are helpful and friendly. The woods the the side of the hotel offer amazing walks.

Three nights here. Lovely room, very polite and professional staff, fantastic food. A very quaint place with lots of character. The restaurant was full every night showing quite clearly, that even the the food was a little pricey, it was worth every penny due to the quality of the food and the service.

Very nice restaurant. There were 7 of us and we all had either steak or wild boar and loved it. I had the duo of regular and smoked steak and although the smoked one was good the regular one was just amazing and was possibly the best steak I have ever had. Great sides as well. Nice atmosphere and particularly...
