We stayed in room 2 it was really cosy the room was clean and really comfortable, tea and coffee facilities in the room, big and clean bathroom. Breakfast was a big and more than enough with really good food. Amazing hosts which made us feel welcomed and not to forget to mention Monty the cat which was always by our...

My partner and I stayed here for three nights in August. We had room 3, which the website stated had a lovely view of Orrest Head....although unfortunately most of the view is obstructed by buildings! The room itself was small, and the shower tiny, but very comfortable. There was a lot more complimentary amenities than in normal hotels however -...

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. The owners were berry knowledgable and friendly, giving great advice on restaurants and attractions to visit. The bed was very comfortable and the area was quiet which made for a great nights sleep. I would definitely return

Located in the centre of Windermere village, a great base to explore for walks and local towns Bowness and Ambleside. The B&B is well presented, very clean and super comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and very hospitable, also having great knowledge of the area and local activities. Our bedroom was spacious with a nice en-suite shower room. The bed was...

I'm rating College House B&B 2 stars because the level of service was terrible. The place itself was ok - clean and comfortable however, when our travel plans changed from 2 nights to 1; the way the owners dealt with it was very disappointing and upsetting. They became emotional instead of dealing with our changed plans in a professional manner....

All the reviews before are correct, the owners are great hosts, the breakfast is AMAZING and surrounding area is lovely. Clean and tidy as you like. Quaint little car park at the back also. I would highly recommend staying here.

I had booked a two night mid week stay for June 9th. I was greeted by Frank who immediately made me feel welcome, it was like he was welcoming a friend to his house. My double room was a nice size, very clean & had a feel of being in bedroom in a friends house, not a strangers b&b. Proper...

We were at Frank and Doreen's College House for 4 nights this last May. We enjoyed it very much. The B&B is in the centre of Windermere, a 25 min amble to the lakeside at Bownes. There are numerous eating places (all a bit on the pricey side) a mere stone's throw away. The room and bathroom were small but...

It's people that make a place and Frank and Doreen made this place and our stay in Windermere PERFECT for us. Would love to stay again in the very comfortable large well equipped sleep 3 ensuite room2. Large spotless bathroom complete with assorted toiletries and the huge hot bubble bath was nice after rowing on Windermere. The breakfast menu was...
