Nice friendly family atmosphere. Hosts are lovely and warm people. Practical environment 5 minute walk from town centre and 15-20 minute to lake area. Breakfasts are nice and premises is of a good standard. I would recommend for anyone on a short stay only.

We stayed in the self catering flats. The flat looked new and was well furnished. We had a problem with the toaster it was replaced immediately. Owner was really friendly and accommodating. Really close to town centre so easy walking distance for shops and food. Would highly recommend.

First time at Lake district and first place where we stayed, we were pleased because we needed a budget place to stay. Room was on the 1st floor facing main road, but it was not too noisy, however, just opposite there is fire station so be aware... Host was very friendly and helpful with tips where to go and what...

We have just returned from a weekend at this guest house. This is a family run business, 2 young children who caused us no problems at all. The room was warm, clean, quiet and ideal for a weekend break. The couple were very accommodating and the breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Free WiFi. Location was excellent for Windermere...

The location was great and the food was reasonable. The owners were helpful and friendly. What we didn't realise is that it is a...

Stayed with my husband, 4 year old son and our dog. Very clean apartment; friendly manager, great location. Great basic apartment, small kitchen as described in the details, has microwave, cooker, fridge etc. would recommend. Position is perfect, short walk to Windermere village, 40min (at 4 year old pace) to Bowness. Loads of cafe's and pubs nearby. Though Windermere does...

Me and my husband stayed in the Derwent water room on 30/06/15 for my 25th birthday. We arrived early (around 12ish), as we planned to get a boat across the lake and visit the aquarium, upon parking the car I was in need of the loo so I knocked on the door to enquire as to wether or not I...

“If you are bothered by noise at night - book the upstairs flat. In the downstairs one (where I stayed twice now as it has much bigger kitchen and is easier to pop out for a ciggy outside) one can hear absolutely everything from upstairs, all walking/talking/everything. This does not reflect on the owners in any way at all - it is just the design of the flats. So depends on who is upstairs, what time they come back at night etc etc - the noise levels can bother some people.”
