Stayed here for one night whilst in the area for work. Very pleasant reception staff on arrival, room very nice and comfortable (the bed was lovely) with all the usual amenities including a large en-suite (which had a couple of house keeping issues which I reported to the manager by email as I left too early, not the hotels fault...

Great rooms, great staff, great food. Went for 3 days stayed for four. Everything immaculately clean. All ready planning our next break there. Wonderful scenery. Nothing was too much trouble for Graham and his staff.

We stayed one night at this hotel and found it to be comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal with most generous servings. The staff - Wayne and Hayley were fantastic in providing service and a friendly chat. As Classic hotels members we found the property to be as advertised. We checked Trip Advisor for feedback and were...

Presented as a 5 star, this place is a 3 star at best. Top floor rooms are inaccessible up very narrow staircase. No restaurant, one eats in the bar area. I'm afraid it's a tired 3 star and way overpriced - worth £70 to £80 and no more. Good staff and location but we won't be going back.

What a lovely place, stunning views and a staff that Cunard would be proud of. We stopped off here on the way to Scotland as it is most convenient for the M6 but we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful setting and pure charm of the place. On our arrival and although the hotel was very quite and it was...

It's about a year since I last used to stay here for business and now I managed to arrange this as a stop off for a Sunday, making it nearer for going to site in the morning. I wasn't disappointed, still have a great warm welcome to a lovely setting and it just makes you unwind, ideal after a 4.5...

Beautiful hotel. Attentive and friendly staff. Lovely room. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Amazing scenery. Fresh and tasty breakfast. Privately owned and it shows. Shut your eyes and imagine the perfect country house hotel, this is it. And less than 5 minutes from the motorway, all we needed was a stopover but this place was brilliant, didn't want to leave. In fact...

We searched high and low before we found our perfect venue, the Roundthorn. The hotel is the right size to hire it all out for the big day which makes it feel warm and personal. The staff were all friendly and made our day special. The wedding planner is really enthusiastic and made the whole experience even more enjoyable ....
