We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lowthwaite, Jim and Tine are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable, with a big bed and a good shower, and mercifully quiet. Breakfast is wonderful, locally sourced and home-made, and Tine couldn’t do enough to help with my dairy allergy, providing soya alternatives, and even making dairy free muffins for me...

This was an absolutely perfect B&B. The location is quiet and secluded yet easily accessible to any of the Lake District towns (especially Keswick). It is near Ullswater and has access to all of the surrounding hikes there. Quaint but high-quality pubs are also close by for dinner. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, warm (we went in Winter) and...

We stayed for three nights and had a great time. A great location for walking or just for some peace and quiet. Hosts were really helpful with information on places to visit and for recommended places to eat. Breakfasts were fantastic!

Stayed here Feb 2017 with family for a weekend in the lakes. It was a prefect location for walks, drives, swimming in the lake and generally pottering around. The rooms are all different sizes but the same in furnishings. The beds are firm (which was fine for most of us) but we all found the pillows (whilst luxurious feather ones)...

We stayed for two nights. What a lovely place.Although only a short drive from the A66, it felt like we were far away from all the rush and busy lives. Perfect location and near Ullswater, Glenridding and Pooley Bridge where we planned to stay. The bed was extremely comfy - loved the African decor! We were impressed with the breakfasts...

I stayed here with my wife for a weekend away from the kids whilst attending my cousins wedding in Glenridding. Make sure you have a map because my trusty sat nav was completely wrong as to the location. On arrival we got a warm reception and explanation of the routine, the owner was very well informed. The furniture is amazing...

We stayed one night with our two children, aged 3 and 6, on route through the lakes. While not being a million miles from the A66 the B7B feels wonderfully secluded. We felt like we were staying in a classic lakes house but equipped with many mod cons. The room was easily big enough for a family of four to...
