We booked for a week in the caravan but only stayed for 5 nights as we were not able to stay longer. We enjoyed it so much we wished we could have stayed longer. The view from the front door of the caravan was great. Only problem with the caravan was that my husband is 6ft4 and he had to...

I have just returned from a fabulous 4 night stay. It was just myself and my 18 year old son. We have had a difficult year and needed to retreat to a destination with a quieter pace of life and the tranquil beauty of Derwentwater. The accommodation in our view, was first class. Alan and Cheryl know what works and...

We stayed in the main Manesty cottage, which is spacious and accommodated our party of 8 (5 adults + 3 children). The cottage is surrounded by stunning views: dramatic landscape of the surrounding mountains and Derwentwater. It is conveniently located for Catbells hike and a trip to the lake. The cottage was very clean and had everything one needed for...

We stayed in the very spacious Manesty Band for a family reunion in June. Fabulous views from all rooms. Alan and Cheryl were incredibly helpful in all ways, but particularly when we needed some advice and they willingly let us use their phone for an important call. The location is hard to beat, all sorts of walking paths start right...

Just stayed here whilst we were working at a festival in town, cottage was spotless and did just the job for what we needed. Was also in a lovely location, meters from a path that went down to the lake - perfect for runs in the morning! Would say though if your wanting to stay for a relaxing chilled time/holiday...

We had a wonderful time at the Manesty Holiday Cottages. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the owners very friendly and welcoming. The views are stunning, the perfect spot to get out and about and explore the lakes.

Just spent New Year with a group of guests, a little soggy outside but lovely evenings spent in Manesty and Manesty Band. Very clean and spacious rooms. The views of surrounding fells are stunning and lots of walks can be done from the door.

When we arrived one of the owners was pruning a Bush outside the cottage we had rented and didn't even stop to introduce herself or welcome us. On arrival we paid our our fee in cash including a £20 housekeeping deposit, when our stay was over, our cottage was checked over by the owners daughter who was also very unfriendly....

We really enjoyed our stay with the wonderful family who run Manesty Holiday Cottages, we were only there for a short time but found the family to be extremely helpful and knowledgable on the area. The cottage itself was very well kept and we especially liked the addition of a real fire! Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed for a week in the High Seat bungalow, with our family in other Manesty cottages. This is an ideal set-up for a large group who want their own kitchens. There are wonderful views from the cottages, walks, the river and Derwentwater. Shopping is about 5 miles away in Keswick which can be reached by bus, although basic emergency...
