Anne and Andrew are the most amazing hosts. We arrived late on a rainy Thursday afternoon and were welcomed by Andrew who showed us to our lovely room, chatting and explaining some of the House's procedures. The room was cozy and inviting, the shower welcome after the rain. Breakfast the next morning set the tone for the next three mornings:...

My single room was spotlessly clean and well-equiped and it was so nice to have access to fresh milk from a fridge in the hall for tea making - what a difference that makes! The bed was very comfortable and the road...

This was are first visit to Keswick and we will never forget it. Anne and Andrew made us feel very welcome. We had a breathtaking view from the first floor bay window. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend and we hope to return in the future.

Very convenient location right at the edge of (i.e., a short block from) the pedestrian only zone. Great choices for breakfast and wonderful tips about things to do and see. Each room or group has their own breakfast table.

Probably the best B&B for a holiday in the Lake District. Clean, comfortable room with thoughtful little extras designed to make one feel at home. Anne and Andrew are excellent hosts who make every effort to make the stay as pleasant as possible - they are very knowledgeable about the local area and are able to provide useful, practical information....

We have just had our second visit to Badgers Wood and it is still as wonderful as last year. We had a different room this visit (Larch) which has a super kingsized bed. Toiletries are provided in the bathroom. The rooms are spotless and clean and the room we had was located at the front on the first floor with...

My wife and I spent three weeks in the UK, visiting London, Edinburgh, and the Lake District, where we stayed in a variety of hotels and B&Bs. Badgers Wood was, hands down, our very favorite place to stay. From its perch near the top of Stanger Street, this centrally-located B&B offers a spectacular view downhill to the village and scenic...
