Really friendly people. Clean and tidy room, not far at all from the town centre. 5 minute walk if that! Didn't try breakfast as was out dead early in the morning. But we were offered it. Will return.

To be honest, I chose this B&B on two criteria: price and location. If you are looking for a straightforward, clean, warm, basic room (especially a single room) with decent breakfast then you won't go wrong. Only a short walk from the centre of town but with free on street parking. Quiet area. Unpretentious place but great value.

This was a pleasant B&B where we stayed a couple of days visiting the Lake Country. Street parking is scarce in the summer, but the owner came out and moved his car for us, which was really nice. We did have some issues with temperature of the water in the shower. The room was large, comfortable and clean, and the...

Stayed there for one night, Friday 21 October, having stayed there previously. I was on my own and the single rooms were all full but they very kindly gave me a twin for the same price as single. They have free wi-fi. The breakfast was excellent - I asked for vegetarian one and they have that as alternative. Best to...

Stayed one night for theatre visit at short notice. Hotel fairly dated but clean. Room adequate but comfortable. Parking is on the street which can be quite crowded but we managed on Bank holiday w/e. Breakfast was good. Best way to describe the landlord is taciturn and he is fine. This was the cheapest B&B we have stayed in Keswick...

I booked here for a night away as it was one of the places where you could book for 1 night and not a 2 night minimum. Women who checked us in was very friendly. Didn't realise they did rooms that were not ensuite, luckily ours was as I prefer not to share a bathroom. Our ensuite was small but...

Booked for one night as I was doing a trail run in Keswick . Not understanding why some have given bad reviews. The room and bathroom were ample. Lots of storage for any longer stay. Yes a little dated but matching and traditional. Breakfast was massive and lovely. I'd already read about the on the street parking so don't understand...

Arrived at the B&B and were initially delighted. Cute as could be, ample parking, woman in one of the Windows comfortably reading a novel...then discovered this was the place next door! After ringing the bell and waiting an abnormally long time, the proprietor showed. "Parking?" We asked. "Oh, plenty on the street" came the reply. "Where?" We asked. We were...

Stayed here 2 nights ago. By far the worst B & B we've ever stayed in. Would never recommend. Unfriendly greeting, not much help regarding parking, room needed a thorough cleaning (dirty sock on floor, bathroom shower not clean, sometimes the toilet flushed...sometimes not, bedding was very old and drabby). I wish I had known this before booking. Even the...

I'm not sure why a previous reviewer commented that the owners were unhelpful . We found them to be very helpful , nothing was too much trouble . We had a most enjoyable stay in Keswick . The guest house is great value for money , not modern but very homely . The rooms are clean and practical and have...
