Its always a good sign when you go to a guest house and they remember you from 18 months ago. Bernie and Tina at The Cartwheel Guest House did. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, nothing was to much trouble. The room we stayed in was a good size and very well decorated, the sheets folded...

I stayed here this past weekend for 2 nights with my mother and my sister, and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are so many b&b's to choose from in Keswick (and I have stayed in many of them!) but this one definitely stands out from the crowd for its great service and friendliness. My sister and I shared an en-suite room,...

We should like to thank you for taking the time to write this review. Our guest's comments are very important to us and your very kind remarks are greatly appreciated. One point we picked up on in particular. We both think it's nice to talk with our guests (unfortunately that's not always possible for Bernie being chained to the cooker...

All in all The Cartwheel offers very good value for money. Things are kept simple but functional, everything is really clean and you will meet the best hosts you can imagine. Parking is available on the street, but depending on the time of arrival the search for a parking space can be a bit tiresome. My room was a single...

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Cartwheel. It is situated in a very quiet area and is only a short walk from the town center. The owners were absolutely lovely and it almost felt like visiting relatives! The food was simply delicious, we got homemade packed lunches for our walks and there always was homemade cake...

If you want jacuzzi baths and 60 inch plasma TV's then The Cartwheel won't be for you. However, if you want an immaculately clean premises, comfy bed, great breakfasts and two friendly, knowledgeble hosts then this should be perfect. We stayed in Room 2 which was very tastefully decorated and the bed (which could be two singles if preferred) was...

We stayed at The Cartwheel for 4 nights in June and loved it. The owners were very friendly, helpful and welcoming into their home. The room was nice and clean and very well presented. The cooked breakfasts were top notch and the service was perfect. It was well worth the money and would recommend highly to anyone visiting the Lake...

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review and for your very kind comments. TripAdvisor by it's very nature can be a bit of double edged sword, as you can't be all things to all people. After all, you can only do your best and it's good to know when our guests have appreciated what we...

This bed and breakfast really does deserve its place at the top of the list. The hosts are professional, helpful and friendly. The house itself is beautiful and I cannot stress enough how clean it is. Our room was tastefully decorated and the hosts have obviously paid a close eye to detail. Breakfast was very good but I also must...

Tina and Bernie were absolutely welcoming, knowledgeable of the area, and kind hosts. The bed was very comfortable, the room large, and the whole place spotless. It's obvious that they take pride in their home and truly enjoy sharing it with others. Although our room did not have a bathroom en suite, we had a private toilet a door over...
