We stopped a couple of weeks ago when the snow capped mountains and the frost was around which made for a stunning location to take photos, the restaurant and lounge area were both cosy and perfect the only downside was the bathroom which had the smallest shower cubicle ever and needed an upgrade but apart from this was wonderful.

room above or near extractor, clean and nice, too hot. nice staff - waiting on. nice to be able to take the dog but obviously couldn't sit in the nice conservatory and enjoy the view if you have the dog with you. main complaint was the breakfast times - 8 - 9.... Went to relax after a very stressful time...

Visited here for two nights December 2016. Sunday - Tuesday and simply can't fault it. It's definitely in our top 3 of hotel visits. We were welcomed by very friendly staff, shown to our room in the new block which consisted of a spacious bedroom, ample storage, large windows and comfy bed alongside a huge en suite with large power...

Last minute booking for 1night, very reasonable, room 2 was ideal for single occupancy ,although above the bar not too much noise. Lovely location with views over to catbells and all the staff were very polite and professional, good choices for evening meals and ample breakfast. Family run and doing a great job.

Stopped off here on our way back from the Lodore Falls on a cold drizzly day. Received a friendly welcome and settled in front of the fire for a very good mulled wine. Fantastic views (on a better day) lovely spot.

I stay here at least once a year and I think it gets better all of the time. I stayed for one night on my own in room 4 and found it very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The evening meal in the bar area was good and tasty and breakfast was very nice too with a...

We have been visiting Borrowdale for many years and have often visited the Mary Mount Hotel for meals but hadn't stayed before. Having enjoyed the view from the restaurant with the abundant birds and scenery, we thought it would be lovely to see that view whilst staying in the hotel. Unfortunately, we hadn't realised that the hotel had built a...

The room was good the staff were good but the food was dreadful, poor menu - lack of choice - and to be served food that was average and basic let the place...
