Just returned from a two night stay in the Burleigh Suite the room was spotless and the bed and bedding were top class Breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice. The owner Gill was very helpful and welcoming. Would very much like to visit again as the views over the park to the mountains are spectacular

We came to Keswick's Burleigh Mead in the middle of a 2700 km 2 week driving blitz through the UK, and it was meant to be the one relaxing peaceful nature getaway in the middle to help us recover. But there was a "mountain festival" going on for ALL THREE DAYS of our stay. Management HADN'T TOLD US WHEN WE...

Keswick is a fine small town in the Lake District with a wonderful pedestrian center with lots of shops and pubs, but it is smaller and more accessible than Ambleside or Windemere. The Heads ia a small hill overlooking the pack by the lake. where there are several B&B's. The Burliegh Mead is in the middle and it was a...

We stayed at the Burleigh Mead for three nights after our planned holiday rental in Troutbeck had to be cut short. We expected very little availability in the height of summer but found this beautiful B&B in Keswick which had superb views from its south sided rooms of Catbells and Derwentwater lake. The rooms were immaculately clean and the decor...

We spent 4 nights at this B&B. The views from our room overlooked Hope Park and the mountains--absolutely beautiful. You were within walking distance of Keswick and they had ample free parking so you had no problems with using your car for excursions, in fact Jill encourage you to explore. Jill was very hospitable. After hiking Catbells (great hike) we...

We chose to stay at the Burleigh Mead in Keswick on the way to our road trip in Scotland this year. When we made the booking I enquired what time check in was and was told "You can check in after 4pm" So the day of departure arrives and we set off in Monty our soft top MGTF. Good start,...

We spent three lovely nights in the Burleigh Suite in June 2014. The room appointments are exquisite and the breakfast was among the finest we had during our entire three week trip. (Try the smoked mackerel pate for breakfast!) The view from the bay window was fantastic and the staff were most helpful with hiking information. The wifi was iffy,...
