We spent a very enjoyable stay at the Beech House. It is situated approximately 10 minutes walk away from the town centre but it takes a little bit longer on the way back as it is quite a steep uphill climb. The hotel is finished to a very high quality; the rooms tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean bathrooms. The cooked... More

Very nice place in a good position (as long as you're fit enough to get up hills!) couldn't find many faults apart from the shower being on the small side. They have a nice breakfast selection and we managed to get a spot for parking (allocated to them). They even had a great array of teas and hot drinks selections... More

We were greeted warmly by the owner of Beech House. Our room was spacious and sumptuously decorated with a view over the town. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom comfortable. The room contained a good quality TV and a collection of DVDs and books. Breakfast was nicely presented and tasty. I can enthusiastically recommend Beech House.

We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed our stay. Wonderful breakfasts, very comfortable rooms and the host was a delight. The B&B is centrally located and an easy walk into town. We would highly recommend staying at Beech House to all of our friends.

We stayed here for two nights - this is a lovely house and Hilary is a superb host who offered recommendations on restaurants and walks in the local area. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. It is only a 5 minute walk to Kendal town centre and it is in a great location for exploring the local area.... More

A warm welcome from Hilary. Lovely rooms. Beautiful decor, each room individually styled. Fabulous full Cumbrian breakfast. Well stocked tea trays in the rooms. Very comfortable. We slept like babies. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other couples.

Lovely guest house which is faultless. Lots of thoughtful touches such as the honesty box to allow you to a have a glass or bottle of wine, beer sweets etc. Very friendly and helpful owners with good recommendations of restaurants and places to visit. Even made a reservation for us on our behalf. Breakfast is lovely and again lots of... More

Just returned from Kendal after staying at the Beech house B&B. From the first moment the Owners were brilliant. Fast checkin and great tips about local restaurants. The room was perfect and could not fault the breakfast. Would stay again if back in Kendal

Lovely welcome to a couple of wet, bedraggled walkers covered in mud! Spacious room and a lovely breakfast. Nothing too much trouble. Convenient to town centre, five minutes walk to town centre and a variety of eating places. Excellent!
