Called in here just for a couple of drinks. Being a malt whisky lover, I was impressed with their range of 30 (more?). Great, cosy little bar with a roaring fire....much recommended in a lovely little village.

I called late last year, 2014, to book here as I needed a dog friendly place to say for a few days this year, 2015. On arrival I was greeted by a friendly guy who showed us to our room. The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. the pub itself is great with a good selection...

I stayed at this wonderful place twice in the month of October. It was perfectly placed in the center of the historic town of Hawkshead. Mind you to be in the center of this town means it is only a 2 minute walk to get out of town. It was a pleasure to sit and watch the local residents come...

Dropped in for a drink whilst in Hawkshead. I had been a couple of times before and was in the area. Barman/landlord was busy, yet not flustered. Very friendly and the beer was good. Comfortable pub with nice outside space facing the square.

You can either eat in the restaurant or in the pub side. It does get busy in the restaurant, so you need to book. They also have live music on certain nights, which makes...

We went to the kings Arms as a big group night before our wedding. We didn't make it easy for them with half the party being late and last minute food changes, but the staff handled it fantastically and the food was excellent. Will definitely return next time we are in Hawkshead
